The new MZKT-690400-010 armored chassis stands out for one of its main features: an adjustable pneumatic suspension capable of significantly changing the vehicle’s ground clearance.
Belarusian manufacturer Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant, known by the MZKT and VOLAT brands, presented the 6×6 model during the “National Security. Belarus-2026” exhibition, held in June.
With a gross vehicle weight of 27 tonnes, the chassis measures 9.4 meters long, 3.18 meters wide and 2.55 meters high. Under normal conditions, its ground clearance is 385 mm.
The pneumatic system, however, allows this figure to be adjusted between 200 and 550 mm. In practice, the vehicle can raise its chassis to tackle rougher terrain or lower it to facilitate transport, storage and accommodation in areas with limited vertical clearance.
