00:01For ten years, the greatest warriors of Greece stood before one city.
00:06They had kings, they had legends, they had an army unlike anything the ancient world had ever seen.
00:13Yet Troy still stood. Its walls had defied every assault, its gates had never fallen.
00:21Then, one man stopped thinking like a soldier, and started thinking like a storyteller.
00:27His name was Odysseus. Instead of another battle, he offered a gift.
00:33A giant wooden horse. Too beautiful to ignore, too strange to trust.
00:40The Greek army burned its camp, sailed away, and disappeared beyond the horizon.
00:45From the walls of Troy, it looked like victory. The war was finally over.
00:51The Trojans celebrated. Some begged the king to destroy the horse.
00:56Others believed it was an offering to the gods.
00:59In the end, hope spoke louder than caution.
01:02The gates of Troy opened. The horse entered the city.
01:07Night fell. The music faded.
01:10The fires burned low.
01:12And as the last celebrations ended, the impossible happened.
01:15Hidden inside the wooden horse, Odysseus and his warriors climbed into the silent streets.
01:21They opened Troy's gates from within.
01:24Far beyond the coast, the Greek fleet had never truly left.
01:28It returned beneath the cover of darkness.
01:31Before dawn, the city that had resisted for ten years was consumed by fire.
01:37An age ended. A legend was born.
01:41History would remember the fall of Troy.
01:45But legends would remember the man who tried to sail home.
01:50His greatest battle had not yet begun.
