00:00Okay, here's the deal. I want to introduce you to a Lake Wells resident, Jeffrey Daniels.
00:06He's 64, so he's been there, done that, got a whole drawer full of t-shirts. Well, he's
00:13failed to appear on some criminal charges. Did you hear what I said? He was released
00:20from jail after he was arrested, and all he had to do was show up, but he failed to appear.
00:26And it was stuff like battery, petty theft. He had a resisting without violence. And so our
00:36deputies sneak up to his house, because now he's got warrants. And we peek in the window,
00:41and we see Jeffrey watching the television, intently setting up right. So one deputy knocks
00:49on the door, Jeffrey, sheriff's office, come outside. No response. Jeffrey, we have warrants
01:00for your arrest. Come outside. No response. Jeffrey. And about that time, they see Jeffrey get
01:11a blanket and drape it over his head, sitting straight up in his chair inside. Well, now
01:21he can't watch television. Jeffrey, come out, come out wherever you are. And he just sits
01:28there. So our deputies sneak in the back of the house and tiptoe into his living room where
01:38he's sitting with the blanket over his head, and we take it off and say, boo, it's us. You
01:45have a warrant. He said, hey, hey, hey, I didn't mean to give you guys a hard time. I got
01:51another
01:51court date next week, and I was trying to hide in hopes of working it out and not going to
01:57jail.
