04:29the
04:29father will give you anything you ask him in my name the gospel of the lord praise to you lord
04:40jesus christ
04:46you know the story i think for those who don't know it maximilian colby like many thousands of
04:54catholic priests were put in concentration camp by the nazis especially polish catholic priests
05:00and he was there and some people escaped and the commandant wanted to teach the inmates a lesson
05:08so he put a number of men was about to put a number of men in a hunger bunker to
05:14starve them to death
05:15as a deterrent for those people running away and the man father of a family
05:22was going to be put in there and maximilian volunteered to take his place and the commandant
05:30accepted so he went in there and stayed in there singing praying with the men looking after them
05:37he was the last one staying alive and then i gave him a lethal injection to kill him
05:42and the man survived the man who was placed he took survived the war and went back to his family
05:48so he gave his life for another but of course apart from that he was a good man a good
05:53priest very
05:55apostolic with a great devotion to our lady so we prayed it was a franciscan as well a franciscan priest
06:03so like him we are called to prefer to give ourselves for each other in faithfulness and love
06:28and we are called to give ourselves for each other in faithfulness we have this bread to offer
06:33which earth has given, human hands have made.
06:36It will become for us the bread of life.
06:39Blessed be God forever.
06:54Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
06:56for to your goodness we have this wine to offer.
06:59Fruit of divine work of human hands,
07:01it will become a spiritual drink.
07:02Blessed be God forever.
07:18Let us pray, brothers and sisters,
07:20that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable
07:22to God our Almighty Father.
07:24May the Lord accept this sacrifice at our hands
07:27with the praise and glory of God's name
07:29for our good and the good of God's holy church.
07:34We present our oblations to you, O Lord,
07:37humbly praying that we may learn
07:39from the examples of Saint Maximilian
07:41to offer our very lives to you.
07:44Through Christ our Lord.
07:46Amen.
07:47The Lord be with you.
07:49The Lord be with you.
07:50Lift up your hearts.
07:51Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
07:53It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
07:57always and everywhere, to give you thanks.
08:00Lord, Holy Father, almighty and eternal God.
08:03For the blood of your holy martyr, Maximilian,
08:07pulled out like Christ to glorify your name,
08:10shows forth your marvelous works,
08:12by which in our weakness you perfect your power,
08:16and on the feeble bestow strength to bear your witness
08:19through Christ our Lord.
08:21And so, with the powers of heaven,
08:24we worship you constantly on earth,
08:26and before your majesty without end,
08:29we are praying,
08:29Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of hosts,
08:34heaven and earth are full of your glory,
08:37Hosanna in the highest.
08:39Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord,
08:42Hosanna in the highest.
08:44You are indeed holy, O Lord,
08:46the fount of all holiness.
08:48Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
08:51by sending down your Spirit upon them
08:53like the new fall,
08:54so that they may become for us
08:56the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
08:58At the time he was betrayed
09:01and entered willingly into his passion,
09:03he took bread,
09:05and giving thanks, broke it
09:07and gave it to his disciples,
09:09saying,
09:09Take this, all of you,
09:11and eat of it,
09:12for this is my body,
09:14which will be given up for you.
09:21In a similar way,
09:23when supper was ended,
09:24he took the chalice,
09:25and once more giving thanks,
09:28he gave it to his disciples,
09:31saying,
09:32Take this, all of you,
09:33and drink from it,
09:34for this is the chalice of my blood,
09:37the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
09:40which will be pulled out for you
09:42and for many,
09:43for the forgiveness of sins.
09:46Do this in memory of me.
09:55The mystery of faith,
09:56when we eat this bread
09:58and drink this cup,
09:59we proclaim your death,
10:01O Lord,
10:02until you come again.
10:04Therefore,
10:04as we celebrate the memorial
10:06of his death and resurrection,
10:08we offer you, Lord,
10:09the bread of life
10:10and the chalice of salvation,
10:11giving thanks that you've held us worthy
10:14to be in your presence
10:15and minister to you.
10:17Humbly we pray
10:18that partaking of the body
10:20and blood of Christ,
10:21we may be gathered into one
10:23by the Holy Spirit.
10:25Remember, Lord,
10:26your church spread throughout the world
10:28and bring her to the fullness of charity,
10:30together with Leo, our Pope,
10:33me, your unworthy servant
10:35and all the clergy.
10:37Remember also our brothers and sisters
10:39who have fallen asleep
10:40in the hope of the resurrection
10:42and all who have died in your mercy.
10:45Welcome them into the light of your face.
10:48Have mercy on us all,
10:50we pray,
10:51that with the blessed Virgin Mary,
10:52Mother of God,
10:53blessed Joseph,
10:54her spouse,
10:55with the blessed Apostles,
10:56blessed Maximilian,
10:58and all the saints
10:59who have preached you throughout the ages,
11:01we may merit to be coerced
11:03to eternal life
11:04and may praise and glorify you
11:06through your Son,
11:07Jesus Christ.
11:11Through him and with him
11:13and in him,
11:13O God,
11:14Almighty Father,
11:15in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
11:17all glory and honour
11:18is yours for ever and ever.
11:20Amen.
11:22At the Saviour's command
11:24and formed by divine teaching,
11:26we dare to say,
11:27Our Father,
11:28who art in heaven,
11:29hallowed be thy name.
11:31Thy kingdom come,
11:32thy will be done on earth
11:34as it is in heaven.
11:35Give us this day
11:36our daily bread
11:37and forgive us our trespasses
11:39as we forgive those
11:41who trespass against us
11:43and lead us not into temptation,
11:45but deliver us from evil.
11:47Deliver us, Lord,
11:49from every evil.

12:01and safe from our distress
12:03as we await the blessed hope
12:05and the coming of our Saviour,
12:07Jesus Christ.
12:08For the kingdom,
12:10the power,
12:10and the glory are yours
12:12now and forever.

12:15we said to your apostles,
