00:17You have made history in these past two deployments.
00:20First, in SETCOM, with that incredible mission, home briefly, and then refit, ready to go, here in SOUTHCOM,
00:29ensuring that designated terrorist organizations, drug traffickers, and other violent gangs can't threaten and poison the American people.
00:36You have been steadfast in your mission, highly skilled in what you're able to do, and frankly, still at work.
00:45And I know I'm the only one between you and continuing your mission right now.
00:49You are headed out to continue interdicting and defeating drug trafficking on behalf of the American people.
00:56The defense of the homeland lives on the USS Gridley.
01:00And all the sailors and all the crew and Coast Guardsmen and pilots,
01:05every aspect of this mission has contributed to ensuring the American people can sleep soundly.
01:12Because there are sailors like the USS Gridley, like sailors all around the world right now,
01:18who are in tough conditions, who do it because they love their nation,
01:22they serve and swore an oath to the Constitution, and they follow through.
01:26So thank you for everything that you do.
01:28Please pass your thanks to your families, for the immense sacrifice that they make,
01:34the time you're away, and the way they hold down the fort.
01:38They're serving right alongside you, and I'm personally grateful for everything you do and everything they do.
01:45The real 1% that stands to watch for me, for us, every single day.
01:52So on behalf of the President of the United States and the Department of War,
