00:00Right here, new members of our press corps here.
00:03Jacob Wasserman with TMZ DC.
00:06We have two questions. I'm going to ask the first.
00:08My colleague will ask the second.
00:10You know, I've heard you talk a lot about bombing.
00:13We'll see.
00:13Sorry?
00:14We'll see.
00:14Okay.
00:15I've heard you talk a lot about bombing people and places.
00:19And when you give these orders to carry out this extreme level of violence,
00:23what's going through your mind and your body?
00:26Do you have, like, an adrenaline rush?
00:28Are you scared?
00:29Do you feel like you're on a power trip?
00:31Just walk us through and paint us a picture of what it feels like mentally and physically.
00:36It's a very TMZ question.
00:38My only thought process is to ensure that our war fighters have everything they need to be successful,
00:44defeat and destroy the enemy, and they come home.
00:47I want them to feel empowered, to have every authority they need within our rules and within our law
00:53to bring maximum violence to the enemy.
00:56Because war is violent.
00:59War requires doing difficult things.
01:01But I want our people to feel empowered so it's our guys that come home and they're guys that do
01:06not.
01:06Sure, I'll give you one chance.
01:08And second question.
01:09Charlie Cotton from TMZ DC.
01:10You changed the Department of Defense to the Department of War.
01:16Would you consider changing the name again to the Department of Peace since that's what we're all after?
01:23Well, that's the pursuit.
01:24It's a great question, actually.
01:26You go from defense to war because you want to be proactive about peace through strength.
01:31And really, I gave a speech in front of generals about what the ethos of the War Department is all
01:36about
01:36because I wanted to go through every echelon of this department.
01:39It means something.
01:40It's not just words.
01:41And when you fight a war the right way, the idea is on the other side you bring about peace.
01:46That is what we'd like to see the most.
01:49In fact, I once did a video about the one institution that should win the Nobel Peace Prize every single
01:54year is the United States military.
01:56Because we are the guarantor of the safety and security, not just of our country, but of a lot of
02:02people in this world.
02:02Last question.
02:03Yes, sir.
