00:00I want to give a report on the lightning strike that occurred at the Grafton prison.
00:08This was yesterday.
00:11It actually impacted 16 prisoners.
00:14They were coming back from eating, from the dining hall,
00:19walking outside their normal pathway.
00:23There was really no indication that there would be lightning.
00:31Guards report no indication.
00:33The normal protocol is if there are storms going on, then they clear the yard.
00:37No one is outside.
00:39But they did not do that because they did not have that indication.
00:43So 16 people were impacted.
00:47Presently, we have four individuals who are in area hospitals up there.
00:54We have two at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and we have one at Cleveland Metro.
01:03The most severe injured individual is at Cleveland Metro.
01:08So that is a report in regard to that situation which occurred yesterday.
01:16in Grafton, Lorain County.
