Vacation — Resurrection of Vacation 1971 (Belgium, Hard-Blues Rock)
A band from Charleroi, formed in 1970. Influenced by the music of Blue Cheer, Cream, and Jimi Hendrix, they played both their own songs and covers. By 1971, they had already made it onto the radio and recorded a self-produced album (about 400 copies were pressed). The album was somewhat rough, though it sounded quite energetic. They struggled to write in the studio, so the band concentrated on live performances. In 1974, rumors of a second album began circulating, but only a single was released. Lineup changes and recordings with various guest musicians followed. In 1983, the band disbanded.
