00:00In my recent video, I showcased how to calculate H group in Excel using pivot table. In this
00:05episode, I'll illustrate determining H group using a very, very simple formula. But first,
00:10some basic concept. We're going to use a function called floor. And the first argument will be the
00:16H itself in cell D3, comma, five is the gap itself. If you hit enter, what this does is that
00:23it rounds the number in cell D3 down to the nearest multiple of five. So technically,
00:28this will be our lower range value in the edge bracket. And if you want the upper range,
00:34I'm just going to have to say plus five like this, and this will give you the upper range.
00:37So with all those things in mind, all you have to do is to introduce a dash in between as
00:43a string
00:44concatenation, and then you'll be done. Let me show you what I mean by that. So this is my lower
00:48range.
00:48I'm going to concatenate, space, double quote, space, dash, space, double quote, and like that.
00:56So this will, the first part of the floor will give you the lower range, and then they'll introduce
01:02a dash, and then this will give you the upper range with a plus five. Let's hit enter here,
01:07and you can see that it just does that. So if this is taking 24, flooring it to 20, and
01:13then plus five.
01:13And then the final thing left to do is to drag this field handle like this,
01:18and then you get your edge bracket like that using this very simple formula.
