00:00What's in it for the audiences? Like what would the readers or viewers expect from this innovation from PT Summit?
00:09I think one of the things they can expect aside from a better experience, you know, ads will be less
00:16intrusive, the content will load faster and would be more entertaining to read.
00:21But with, aside from that, the data, with the data we have and the content that we have, we'll be
00:27able to allow our readers to do a deeper dive on whatever they're reading in a more automated manner.
00:34That if they're reading an article, for example, on a particular celebrity who's married to another celebrity, they can be
00:39told, do you want to know more about celebrity A, celebrity B, their original spouse A, if they were married
00:44before, their children, and then from there read and read more and do a deeper dive.
00:48I think with short-form content now, a lot of people do not do deep dives and they think they
00:53become experts with one headline or two paragraphs.
00:57But we want to bring back the way media was read before, to really read the many stories that are
01:03available, to do a deep research into the story and become people who understand the background of many things.
01:10So that when they take it to the third space, conversations among friends become richer.
01:15Basically, it's a way to fight back against the splinternet where everyone has a super simplified view of things and
01:22it often leads to conflict rather than objective, healthy conversation.
01:27So they will be able to customize their experience when they go to pep.ph, for instance?
01:33I mean, I think he's already said it better than I can, but I think also on the back end
01:39of that, I think what we're really hoping to achieve is obviously technology has changed the way that we not
01:44just consume media, but also how it's created, how it's distributed, even how it's discovered.
01:50And I think this technology, the biggest breakthrough of it is developing it in a way that is ethical and
01:59responsible.
02:00And I think together through PT Summit, we're going to be able to have better insights into audiences' interests, hopefully
02:09more sustainable monetization of digital products along the way, but also still keeping the integrity of great storytelling at its
02:18heart.
02:19That's good to hear, especially for us editors in the editorial workforce, we want to have that control and ability
02:30to educate our readers as well with the kind of content that we want to share with them.
02:35And we really are looking forward to the changes because we know that even though much of this technology is
02:40happening behind the scenes, us audiences can notice the difference with this, right?
