00:00You were one of the people who lost their house in the wildfires last year in California.
00:06I mean, how, in the name of God, do you get through that and just start again with nothing?
00:13Well, at the time it was happening, I was with my little boy, Wolf, and we were in Longford at
00:21Centre Parks.
00:22And so we're watching the news and we're trying to figure out which house is ours that's going up in
00:29flames.
00:30We didn't actually know for a few days afterwards.
00:32So, yeah, it was incredibly shocking.
00:34It's not something that you ever plan for.
00:36You can plan for it.
00:39But the most important thing in the house was in my arms.
00:44Everything else can be rebuilt.
00:45It's only stuff.
00:47It's only a house.
00:49Everybody was safe.
00:51It was a shock to the system.
00:53But in a strange way, prospectively, months down the line, I was furious for a couple of months.
00:59And then months down the line, you kind of think of the cathartic value of, well, that's all been taken
01:05away from a reason.
01:06Maybe the cup has to be emptied.
01:08You fill the cup up with something else.
01:10But, you know, it's all rebuildable.
01:12It's all rebuildable.
01:12Life's not stuff for life's people.
01:14Life is not stuff.
01:16It's very much, you know, my son was the most important thing in that house.
01:21And he's doing okay?
01:22He's safe.
01:22He's magnificent.
