00:00Congratulations on this, it's amazing.
00:02Have you seen the film?
00:02No, not yet, but maybe afterwards, yeah.
00:05We're going to love it.
00:06I hope so, it looks amazing.
00:09And a big part of it is the costumes and how it appears on screen.
00:13So I wanted to know, obviously this is the third film,
00:16how have you kind of continued your inspiration?
00:19Where did you get your inspiration for these costumes?
00:22Well, the inspiration, I was just saying, it comes from a lot of different things.
00:26We world build first of all, the production designers and Jim especially and myself.
00:31And when we do that, it's like you just open up the door to your imagination
00:35and any creative person will tell you that you don't know exactly when the idea will strike.
00:41But I get a lot of guidance from Jim and then I'm kind of left to do my own thing
00:45and I draw a particular inspiration from nature.
00:49There's just so many things in the natural world that can inform shape, color, design.
00:56And so it's wonderful.
00:58It's wonderful to be able to use that kind of hands-on thing.
01:01And since I make all the garments, you know, it's a different process
01:05than any other department in the movie.
01:07Making all the clothes and then making them again in the digital world is a really,
01:11it's a huge change in filmmaking and something that I think costume designers should embrace.
01:17And you've worked with James Cameron for a long time.
01:19You worked on Titanic as well.
01:21What's it like being on his sets or what is it that makes it so different?
01:26Well, I think it's the work is very serious.
01:30You know, we take everything we do with utmost concern, you know.
01:34So that's number one.
01:36And Jim and I both like a challenge and I think he inspires me
01:40and I hope I give back to him, you know, what he deserves.
01:43So it's a wonderful relationship and it goes back, yeah, 30 years.
01:47And the other person you've worked with twice as well is Kate Winslet.
01:50So I wanted to get your take on what it's like working with her.
01:53Oh, she's a dream.
01:55I mean, the whole cast is amazing, you know.
01:57And we've worked together now on these movies for eight years or so.
02:01So we know each other pretty well.
02:02But Kate coming back and having that opportunity from years ago working together on Titanic
02:08and then being back together, it was just amazing.
02:11I mean, it was just like no time had passed, right?
02:13Everyone always says that, but it was wonderful.
02:15And she's absolutely stunning in the movie.
02:19Thank you so much.
02:20I appreciate your time.
