00:30Well, if you're in Denmark, you might see people get a stool or chair
00:34and they physically jump off when New Year strikes
00:36to leap into the New Year for good luck.
00:40Also in Denmark, they smash plates
00:41and leave them outside their neighbours' houses.
00:44So, if anyone out there has just moved to Denmark
00:46and you see this on New Year's Day, it's a good thing.
00:49It's meant for good luck.
00:51If you're in Spain, as the 12 new seconds of the New Year strike,
00:55you would eat 12 grapes.
00:57One on each second to symbolise good luck for each month of the year.

01:11Oh, if you're on the International Space Station,
01:14this is actually my favourite fact.
01:15You will have 16 New Year's Eve because of how many times
01:18the International Space Station crosses the date line.
01:20But right here on planet Earth, we only have one right here and now.
