00:00Welcome to our Hello Insider for the Strictly Come Dancing semi-finals.
00:04Sunday night's show saw the celebrities perform two dances in the hope of bagging their place in the grand finale
00:09next week.
00:11Hamza and Yvita brought the house down with their Charleston.
00:13Helen and Gawka's Argentine Tango wowed the crowds and Molly and Carlos set fire to the ballroom with their epic
00:19Paso Doble.
00:20But who will land a place in the finale?
00:23So, semi-finals yesterday. What did you guys think?
00:27I noticed that there were no perfect scores, which I thought was quite interesting for a semi-final.
00:32Do you think the judges were harsh or do you think that was fair?
00:35I'm gonna say there should have been one perfect score and that was Molly.
00:38She should definitely be up on the leaderboard for me.
00:42Yeah, she was amazing wasn't she?
00:44I thought it was, yeah.
00:46I would say she was the only one that deserved the perfect score.
00:50I did notice, obviously it's the first time they've had to do two dances.
00:55And when you get to do two dances, you get half the time to do each dance, basically.
01:00And I could really see that some people struggled with that more than others.
01:04In particular, I felt Will maybe found it a little bit difficult.
01:08I thought that his Paso was gonna be exceptional.
01:11And I was a bit disappointed with his Paso.
01:13Because Paso isn't the most difficult dance, especially for men.
01:16Because it's very stampy and aggressive and you can show your strength.
01:21And he's quite a powerful guy.
01:22And I thought he was gonna be really good at the Paso.
01:24Yeah.
01:25But it was, I was just, yeah, left a bit underwhelmed really.
01:29Yeah.
01:30Do you think he managed to redeem himself with the couple's choice?
01:33Because they were so different, they're almost incomparable really, aren't they?
01:36Do you think he managed to, he looked far more confident in his couple's choice, didn't he?
01:40Um, again, I'm gonna say no.
01:44I know, I haven't woke up on the wrong side of the bedroom.
01:47You should have.
01:48Yeah.
01:48But, um, I didn't enjoy it.
01:51I, I felt, like, when I was watching it, I thought, oh, that's what I'd look like if I did
01:57street dance.
01:57Because I know I wouldn't be good at street dance.
02:00Um, and I felt it was a bit dad dancey.
02:03Um, and the fact he got two 10s for it, I found baffling.
02:07I was like, how has that got two 10s?
02:09Um, yeah, so for me personally, I, I didn't really enjoy either of his performances.
02:16And I think, you know, we've got to say that he was probably rightly so on the bottom of the
02:19leaderboard.
02:20Yeah, he was.
02:20Yeah.
02:21And it's a shame because we picked him as the winner very early on.
02:24Yeah, I did well.
02:25I don't like being wrong.
02:27Thanks about Will because I loved him so much.
02:29And I thought that's sick.
02:30He is the one to watch.
02:32And then, yeah.
02:34Um, I, I still go back to, um, Diane and, um, Tyler.
02:41I feel that they should still be in the competition.
02:44Yeah.
02:45I'm still gutted about them being out.
02:46I still feel he should be in the competition.

02:48Get over yourself.
02:51He was really, really good.
02:52He was really good.
02:53And I think, I think because Will has had such an up and down journey with his dancers.
02:57Like, I know we've said before, like he came out on the first or second week and was amazing.
03:02And then he's been like really up and down.
03:03I really feel like he needed this week to be great.
03:07Whereas other people have been more consistent.
03:10Like I think Molly has been more consistent despite the fact that she's been in the bottom two.
03:14I agree.
03:14So do you think that this could be the week where she finally avoids the dance off and actually gets
03:20through as she, I think she deserves.
03:22You know what?
03:23She deserves it so much.
03:25She's a young, I put it on my Twitter last night.
03:28She's, she's a young girl.
03:30Um, I mean, how old is she?
03:3119 years old or something like that.
03:33Um, and week after week, she ends up in the bottom two.
03:37Now, whoever you are, whatever age you are, that's not a nice feeling.
03:41And it's, it's hard to accept once, but to keep doing it and to keep coming back and producing great
03:47dances.
03:48Essentially.
03:48Yeah.
03:48It's a little bit, that is what life's about.
03:51You know, you keep getting knocked down, but you've got to keep picking yourself up.
03:54And some people wouldn't be able to do what she's done, I feel, to come back and to still be
04:00loving it and enjoying it.
04:01And, and if she ends up in the bottom two this week, and I, I'm sure you already know who's
04:07in the bottom two.
04:08I don't actually know.
04:09I have the ability to know, but I don't want to know.
04:12Um, I'll, I'd be gutted for her because I feel she should have been top of the leaderboard, which she
04:18wasn't.
04:18And that would have made a big difference, um, to when the public vote and your combined scores are put
04:25together.
04:26Um, it's much harder for, if she had been top of the leaderboard, no way would she have been in
04:30the bottom two.
04:31Um, and she did deserve to be top of the leaderboard, but we'll see, we'll see what happens.
04:35Well, let's talk about Hamza then, cause he hasn't got a perfect score, but he, I think is, you know,
04:41one of the favorites, I think.
04:42Do you think, what did you think of his dances on Saturday? Uh, Sunday, sorry.
04:47Um, but the last few weeks, I feel he's slipped a little bit as well.
04:51Cause he, he's, he created some performances that I thought were absolutely exceptional.
04:58Yeah.
04:59I mean, they did when they did the walls.
05:01Um, it's the first time that I've seen him maybe a little bit nervous.
05:06Maybe it was due to nerves.
05:07And when you're nervous in slow dances, it's very easy to go ahead of the music.
05:12It's much more difficult with faster dances.
05:14If you're nervous, that nervous energy gets lost in the frenetic kind of movement.
05:21But when you've got to really be slow and hold things really hard when you're nervous.
05:27So yeah, I felt sorry for him with the fact knowing that he couldn't control his nerves, but everyone gets
05:32nervous.
05:32All of them would have been nervous.
05:34Um, but I, yeah, I just felt that they weren't quite on it last night.
05:38The first dance was exceptional.
05:39Some of the lifts that they do and everything.
05:42I mean, I watched the lifts and go, Oh my God, I've never seen that one before.
05:45It was brilliant.
05:46But no, I still think he's probably favorite to win.
05:49Yeah.
05:49I think we should win.
05:51Yeah.
05:52Um, I think that she's been the most consistent.
05:55Having said that again, last night, um, her, her first ballroom dance was a little bit stiff in the neck.
06:03Yeah.
06:03And it was a little bit rigid in the spine.
06:06And that's what the judges were talking about.
06:08And I felt the same, although it was still beautiful.
06:10The posture wasn't quite there.
06:12She doesn't, again, they don't have this softness in the spine.
06:17They get, they hit their position and then they just hold it.
06:19And they kind of end up looking a little bit rigid like that.
06:22Yeah.
06:23And Helen had such a good week last week.
06:25Oh yeah.
06:25Yeah.
06:25With her cabaret.
06:27Do you think that would have made her more nervous this week?
06:29Because I feel like that was the week where it was a bit of a turning point and people were
06:33like, Oh, okay, she might actually win this now.
06:35It's hard to always get better and better because there's going to be certain dances or routines that don't suit
06:42you as much as the next one.
06:44And sometimes you create something magical that you try and reproduce and you just can't find it.
06:50You know, it was just one of those magical moments.
06:53And I think they've all, I think Helen's was her jive.
06:56Um, Wills was clearly his first dance, which was the salsa or cha-cha.
07:01Yeah.
07:02Um, Hamza has had a couple as well.
07:05You know, um, it's hard to reproduce those magical moments when each week you're changing dance and that dance might
07:13not suit you.
07:14Like the wolves did not suit Hamza.
07:16I think Fleur's Charleston, the Italian theme one was great.
07:20Yes, he was good.
07:20I thought that was really good.
07:21I actually preferred that to her Paso, but I think she got better scores in the Paso.
07:25I can't remember that.
07:25I agree with you.

07:27What did you think?
07:28Yeah, I felt that I liked seeing the fun side of her.
07:32For me, her best dance still was when she did the Samba.
07:36That was like a Eureka moment where she had this softness in her spine.
07:40Well, what are your predictions for the bottom two?
07:42What do you think is going to happen tonight?
07:43My predictions for the bottom two.
07:47On dancing, it should be Fleur against Will and Will to be eliminated.
07:55On paper, that's what it should be on dancing.
07:58If it was a proper dance competition, just on the judges making the decision, that's what it would be.
08:05But because we have public vote, and that is what makes the show amazing, in my opinion, because you've got
08:13to vote for who you want.
08:14Yeah.
08:15Molly, possibly?
08:16I hope not.
08:17I hope she's done a lot.
08:18It's hard because we've been so shocked about the bottom twos before.
08:21We've been like, why is that happening?
08:24So you just never know, do you?
08:25Yeah, I think she did enough yesterday to kind of say to the public, I'm fighting for my place.
08:32She had the best dance of the night.
08:34So if she's had the best dance of the night and ends up in the bottom two, there's nothing more
08:38that poor girl can do.
08:41She's brushed herself off so many times.
08:43Yeah.
08:44She's come out and gone, look, I am trying.
08:46I am here.
08:47I am part of this competition.
08:49Yeah.
08:49This is the best I've got.
08:51And it was the best last night.
08:53And if she ends up in the bottom two, I think it's a bit of a travesty.
08:55Yeah, I think it's definitely not going to be Hamza.
08:57We know that.
08:57Yeah.
08:58And I think Helen's getting quite a lot of votes.
09:01But you don't know.
09:01The women are there behind her, and I think she wouldn't be there.

09:06It's got to be Fleur and Will.
09:07It has to be.
09:09And then, and I think it's Will's time.
09:11He, he's had, he had his Eureka moment week one.
09:15And he had so many chances to get himself going.
09:19Yeah.
09:19And he's not kind of found that moment again where he, it was as good as week one.
09:24So I just think that maybe it's his time to go.
09:27Yeah.
09:27Fair enough.
09:28And so big, big night next week, the final, who's going to lift the trophy?
09:33I think it's going to be Hamza.
09:34Who do you think it's going to be?
09:35I agree with you.
09:37I, I still think it's going to be because of the likability.
09:41Um, and there's nothing wrong with that.
09:43And he has been brilliant.
09:44I do think Helen's maybe been a little bit more consistent than him throughout the show.
09:50Um, but I think because of the vote and mainly people vote for men when the men are good.
09:58Um, I think he'll lift the trophy.
