00:00It's numbers to an extent, but like we spent today at the round table with the scientific clinicians and the
00:08researchers,
00:08and it becomes very real. It's about research, it's about work that's being done, work that hadn't been done before,
00:14work that would not be done absent us, and that's really exciting.
00:18It's really, like I've been saying, this year, more than any other year for me, I feel a lot of
00:23pride.
00:24Well, I guess that's what I want to be first.
00:27As a person, I try to be a human, and that's more important than anything else.
00:34I mean, I don't realistically think I'm going to win an Oscar for anything else,
00:38so I'm happy to win one in the name of the people trying to find a cure for this disease,
00:46people doing all the work, and as always, I get all the attention, but it's really about all these other
00:51people.
00:51We're grateful for stuff. Stuff doesn't go by us. We don't go, we deserve that, or we should have that,
00:57or that's normal.
00:59I mean, things that happen to us and for us and around us that are so special, and to not
01:06recognize that that's a gift.
01:08They've all been involved in the foundation in different ways.
01:10Our daughter, Esme, just did a Pancakes for Parkinson's at her college, which is wonderful,
01:15and one of our daughters worked at the foundation for a while, and so it just means a lot.
01:21I mean, they, you know, they obviously do it because of their dad and because of that interest and emotional
01:28connection to it,
01:29but I think they also just are loving the work that the foundation is doing, so I think it comes
01:35full circle.
