00:11My cooker is a great source of amusement because I am not very domesticated.
00:16I do not like cooking, so why did I invest so heavily in such a beautiful stove?
00:23Because I liked the story.
00:24The people that make these stoves were telling me about the fact that
00:28Earl Shackleton took a similar one to the South Pole,
00:30and as soon as they told me that, I was sold.
00:36I think the only person who doesn't take the mick out of me for buying a tin bath
00:41is the dog. You love it, don't you, Pop?
00:44Aww, you could have played ball.
00:46But yeah, I got a tin bath, I got a concrete sink,
00:50both probably impractical, but I love the people who made them,
00:53I love the textures, and I just really liked them,
00:56and I thought, sod it, it's my house, I'll have what we want.
01:06My kids live for climbing trees.
01:09They are, in the best possible way, fabulously feral.
01:12So, I designed this bedroom where they've got bunk beds,
01:15drawers underneath, a den behind the back of the bed,
01:18little superhero, reading corner, reading corner.
01:22But this is probably my favourite bit of the house.
01:25It's definitely their favourite bit of the house.
01:27They've got their own little climbing wall.
01:33At Hearth, I really want to be a farmer, but I'm not a millionaire,
01:37so I can't buy a farm and a working telly, so this was the next best thing.
01:41We're really lucky that we've managed to create a home that the kids love
01:44and we're all happy in, but we bought this house because of the garden.
01:48We're so lucky that the garden is huge.
01:51It's got all these little different corners and pockets
01:53and that's because the family who lived here before spent so much energy out here
01:58and that's what made us love the house.
02:00It was a small house, massive garden, but this just said to me,
02:04family home and loads of love.
02:06We've got the swing.
02:08This is all our veg parts.
02:09My husband has built a fire pit in lockdown for his mates
02:13because obviously they are a really important part of our garden.
02:16We've got the kids' shade, which me and my three-year-old painted in the summer.
02:20It's been a barbecue shade, a painting place when it's raining,
02:23a Halloween den.
02:24My friend dressed up as a mummy in there.
02:26It's going to be a Santa's grotto.
02:28All of these little corners of the garden are kind of becoming the places
02:32that we're making memories and having little special events.
02:35So I'm really, really lucky to have this garden.
02:37We love it.
02:37I don't take it for granted, but gardens like this do not take care of themselves.
02:42So I better go and do some digging in this skirt.
02:45Well, why not?
