00:14Dear Dad, you were the best dad anyone could have asked for, and you were my best friend.
00:22Time with you went way too fast. It feels just like yesterday, that we were looking
00:27at each other's cards, playing poker, eating pizza and cheering on a multi while watching
00:32the Saints. I'm never going to forget how much fun we had doing just simple things, grocery
00:39shopping, watching a movie or going for walks during lockdown. We didn't have to do much
00:45for us to be happy together, life was so easy and peaceful with you in it. You never pressured
00:52me into playing cricket, and all you ever wanted for me was to be happy. You watched
00:57me for hours and hours, building Lego. You would play Super Smash Bros with me, even though
01:02it was impossible for you to win. We would play Monopoly, and you would do deals with me
01:08just to give me a chance to win. We were both so happy. In one of the first games of
01:15cricket
01:15I ever played, you told me, just go out there and have fun, because when you're happy, good
01:20things will happen. So that was the mindset I had for that game. I ended up taking a hat
01:26trick, and that's a memory I'll never forget. You were so proud of me. Although I didn't
01:32go down the cricket path, you didn't mind. You just wanted the best for me. You taught
01:36me manners are free, and to always say please and thank you. Being your Katie at the Dunhill
01:45and walking around with you on the golf course brought me so much joy. It was only a few
01:50weeks ago that you gave me and Bakes a set of your golf clubs so we could get started on
01:55our own golfing journey and play together. Don't worry, I'll keep up those lessons and
02:00eventually catch up to your handicap, which was seven today, eight yesterday, but could have
02:04also been nine depending on who you were versing. I loved watching you do what you do. Bowling,
02:13playing golf, making eggs and bacon, and commentating. You did everything with so much passion. I looked
02:20up to you as my hero and I admired how hard you worked. I was so proud of everything you
02:26do. I'm so proud that you were my dad. You were so full of life and always made everyone
02:33around you smile. You would walk into a room and everyone would stand up and just be happy
02:38to be in your presence. I feel like I have been robbed as you were taken way too soon, but
02:46I won't forget the feeling of just being around you and how loved you always made me feel and
02:50how safe I was when I was with you. There's not a day that will go by where I won't

02:57thinking of you. I'm so happy that I got to spend 22 years of my life with you as my
