00:06a report came back to tell me that I am autistic and it's thanks to Harry Thompson who I'm working
00:19with at the moment who we were working together you know physically working together opposite
00:26each other and and you know after 10 minutes of being in my company he just said you know I
00:30think
00:30you might be ADHD and I think you know you might have an autistic profile and I was like do
00:37you
00:37think so and then I started to process like how that might be and it suddenly started to make
00:43sense because I think you know I have a child with autism um or rather he is autistic and um
00:50sorry I
00:51get all the terminology wrong but he is autistic so I understand what it's about but I hadn't really
00:59run it through my um behaviors at all and and it's such a positive diagnosis for me because it makes
01:10sense of my life and I've had to go back and look at my life and sort of unpick it
01:14and and retell it
01:16because it has a completely different lens using uh Harry's terminology and there's a sense of relief
01:23about it but there's also a sense of mourning not because I don't want to be who I am and
01:28what I am
01:29and that I'm autistic that's that's not it it's that I wish I'd known sooner so I could have understood
01:35exactly why things were rolling the way they were rolling I've been vulnerable to um abusive people I've
01:41been vulnerable to to um to people that lie because I only see I only see and take on board
01:49what people
01:49tell me like I've always been a bit funny with jokes it's like I don't if somebody says something
01:54to me with a deadpan delivery I believe them even if it's like the most ludicrous thing that they
02:00might say I go oh gosh really and they're like no I'm joking I think I'm just like oh right
02:05it's a joke
02:07anyway cut to um I'm doing a documentary with Harry anyway which is why this has come up we're doing
02:15um a documentary about the education system and how it doesn't work um for many children
02:22and and specifically for those um who are autistic and obviously this has come up I went did the
02:29assessment it was quite extensive last week and it's come back positive that I am autistic so I'm I just
02:35wanted to let you know that um because at 51 to find out is is really um incredible because I'm
02:43probably over halfway of my life and I just found out so thank you Harry thank you for seeing me
02:51thank you for seeing me so clearly and to get for getting me to do the test the assessment rather
02:58um so thank you thank you thank you Harry Harry Harry um so yeah um whole new world and I
