00:00Hello, I have some news. This is going to be my last season presenting Football Focus.
00:07It's been a real pleasure, an amazing 12 years, and I can honestly say I have loved every single second
00:14of it.
00:15I'm really proud about the job that we've done, the changes we've made to the show, the issues that we've
00:19looked at,
00:20and at a time when the football landscape is changing immeasurably.
00:24But, having said all that, after 12 years it's time for someone else to take the reins.
00:29I'm really going to miss the magic of the programme, the opportunities that it has given me,
00:34the great friends, many friends I've made along the way, and the thousands and thousands of conversations that I've had
00:39with people
00:39who thankfully love the show just as much as I do.
00:44Now, I won't be disappearing, I'll still be on Breakfast, and you'll see me elsewhere across BBC Sport,
00:49including the Olympics, a show on that this summer, and I'm also really looking forward to letting you know
00:53about one or two other exciting opportunities further down the road.
00:57The last thing I want to say is thank you, first of all, to the amazing team behind the programme
01:03who put in so much love, care and effort every single week to get us on air.
01:08And thank you for all the comments, all the questions, and for tuning in, giving us record audiences
01:13for a programme that's been on air since 1974.
