00:00It was two weeks before Christmas and all through the land, key workers kept working to help give
00:05us a hand. The nurses, the doctors at the heart of the fight joined teachers, shop workers,
00:13volunteers in their plight. And the country was grateful for all they had done and wanted
00:18to thank them and bring them some fun. Masks on! So together with others we set on a mission
00:26to do something special in the best Christmas tradition. What would you really like for
00:32Christmas? Teddy bear. Barbie. Is there a particular Barbie you quite like? A panto was planned with
00:39a wonderful grotto at the London Palladium with help from the lotto. Christmas presents!
00:46Theatres once closed threw open their doors and families at last could walk on their floors.
00:55On Santa's command, the elves raced down to Hamleys to make dreams come true for the unwitting families.
01:03Dashing and rapping as the guests took their seats, Santa was determined that they'd all get their treats.
01:10Let's get rapping!
01:13Could the elves do it? They were all in a spin.
01:18But for now, boys and girls, the show must begin.
01:22Welcome to Pantoland!
01:28Was everything ready? Only time would now tell.
01:35As out on the carpet they'd be in quite the spell.
01:38The guests never dreamt that during the show,
01:43the elves had worked swiftly, all covered in snow.
01:51With smiles on their faces and tears in their eyes,
01:56the children couldn't believe they'd had such a surprise.
02:00But as families departed, as if from a book,
02:05there's magic to be found wherever you look.
02:11The moral of the story, true now more than ever,
02:15remarkable things happen when we all work together.
02:18Merry Christmas!
02:30unterschied to our new friends!
02:32You don't have to buy new people!
02:33You don't have to be afraid of them!
02:33I think they might be afraid of them.
