00:00We're here just to give you a briefing on our good news this morning.
00:03I think it's a really exciting result.
00:04I mean, we've got an overall 70% protection against the virus,
00:10but we had no one who was vaccinated, went into hospital or had severe disease,
00:15which I think that's going to translate into actually preventing this clogging up of the NHS that we've seen.
00:23And then there's this really intriguing result in the data where we gave a half dose
00:29to some people for their first dose and then a full dose.
00:32And protection rises to 90% in that group.
00:36Well done. I'm so pleased for all of you guys. I really am.
00:39I saw it in everyone's faces back in June, how much time and effort was going into this.
00:44This vaccine should do what we always wanted it to do.
00:46We wanted a vaccine for the world, not just for high income countries, not just for this country.
00:51We're not safe until we're all safe.
00:53It's an amazing achievement, isn't it? It really is.
