00:15First, I'd like to just apologize for my couple of minutes of delay of my absence and certainly
00:34I just want to extend my gratitude to everybody that's been sending me messages of support,
00:50of listening, you know, not just today, but over the last eight to nine years.
01:01You guys have really just held me down and honestly from meeting so many of you in the street,
01:21at different events, on public transport, like from youngsters to elders, people my grandparents' age.
01:40And I am truly grateful, truly, truly grateful.
01:52And today, something in my spirit led me to want to speak about this today.
02:08And it's been something that I've been going back and forth with myself about for so long.
02:29One of the main reasons why I didn't feel confident to speak about this is because I've been told by
02:47industry professionals
02:51that it's not, it's not advised to speak about this because those in positions of power may, you know,
03:09I've been told to stop my bad, basically, and close the door on opportunities.
03:21However, I don't serve men. I serve the most high and that is the bottom line.
03:33I know that God is greater than anything and everyone.
03:45And let me, let me let that be known.
03:49And so again, putting my emotions to the side, I look at myself every day in the mirror.
04:07And I always say, the more asked the most hard to disuse me.
04:16My little sister called me yesterday, excited to share news with me about a new endeavor that she has.
04:29And then it made me think, okay, how are you honoring the legacy of the black woman if you choose
04:45to remain silent?
