00:14So, yeah, definitely when things get back to normal, I'd love to come and say hello to the team and

00:21I think it was 2012 that you were allowed to hear.
00:25No. It only seems like yesterday, Graham. It shows you how quickly time goes.
00:30It has a lot changed. Obviously, these circumstances are not normal and things like that, but it has a lot
00:35happened and a lot changed there with you in Wiltshire.
00:39The programme, which is now nearly 40 years old, we've managed to retain the legacy and the effectiveness and the
00:47importance of the treatment of Cloud's.
00:50But we've also, especially with COVID-19, we've put things online that we never thought we could put online before.
00:57Have you noticed a change in numbers contacting you? Are you having to go out into the community and do
01:02your own networking, I suppose?
01:04This is a really important question because we are getting inquiries and phone calls from people who are not sure
01:13where to go and not sure that treatment is available.
01:16And so our website is busier than it's ever been and we are doing as much as we can connecting
01:24with people digitally.
01:26But we're also giving a very strong message, which is Cloud's is still open and we admitted clients last week
01:31and we'll be admitting clients this week.
01:33So that's very, we're very much open to business and happy.
01:39Relapsing perhaps might be more common, particularly during lockdown with isolation and things like that.
01:46Have you noticed that being a concern of yours?
01:50So I think we will see more alcohol issues in the community and I think definitely we know alcohol sales
01:58have gone up exponentially.
01:59So, you know, the rise in people that are now starting to seek treatment with lockdown gradually lifting.
02:06I think that's going to have bigger impact on this. Yeah.
02:11And so this has been a massive team effort and the team has just been fantastic.
02:17I've been working from home for much of the time, but people have been coming in every day.
02:21We've been open 24-7 right the way through.
02:25And so it would be great to give us an opportunity to introduce you to a few of the staff
02:31that have been working through.
02:32Definitely. Terry, who's the lead chef.
02:35That's a very important job, Terry.
02:38The worrying thing is, isn't it, is all those people who aren't necessarily reaching out, who are struggling,
02:43who perhaps don't feel they can reach out or the fact that, you know, maybe they, you know, maybe they
02:47haven't, you know,
02:48realised that addictive behaviours have sort of established, particularly if it's the first time.
02:53And it's those people as well, those who aren't necessarily being vocal about it,
02:57is making sure that they know they can reach out and that you are there to help and support them
03:02in this very difficult time.

03:07My mother was at Clouds pretty much two years ago to the day.
03:13Yeah.
03:13And so since she came out of there, well, we went to visit her a lot when she was in
03:19Clouds
03:19and it was such a lovely and special place, met so many fantastic people.
03:23And how is your mum doing now?
03:25She's doing really, really good.
03:28She's actually been doing fantastically well since the day she left Clouds.
03:31I think the holistic approach that Clouds House does take is extraordinary and actual addiction in general.

03:39Yeah, I was saying, I came out of Clouds on March 10th and there was no lockdown.
03:45It was obviously aware in the news and everything. To be fair, coming out of Clouds, it was quite daunting
03:51and a bit hairy to begin with, if I'm honest.
03:54Going straight back into the normal world from Clouds and being Clouds and being protected and everything.
03:59And then about a week, just over a week later, lockdown happened.
04:03For me personally, if I'm honest, it was a bit of a blessing in disguise, in all honesty.
04:10It made me feel safe again, really. It gave me a chance of stepping stone back into reality.
04:16Claire, I know that you're also using Zoom aftercare via a free Clouds house.
04:22What have your experiences been to date, sort of fresh out? I mean, how are you doing?
04:29Hi. Yeah, well, thank you. Hi. I only left Clouds on Monday, actually. So this is all very new to
04:37me.
04:37So I joined the aftercare group on Wednesday morning for the first time. So that's where I met Chris.
04:42And already I've been invited to their WhatsApp group swap numbers and having good morning messages of support.
04:49And it's just really nice to know that, you know, there's a community out there and that I'm not alone.
04:56I think it's a lifeline to so many people. And, you know, it's great that they're able to continue the
05:03sport,
05:03whether remotely or those who are actually receiving treatment now during lockdown and providing, you know, life changing support, really.
05:11So, yeah, well done, Clouds house. Great. Just going to go through to the outside of Clouds house.
05:19And we'll say our goodbyes from the staff, if we may. Fantastic.
