00:00So we've been asked to show you a really easy recipe and this is the easiest one we know.
00:04So most people have been using their bananas to make banana bread. We are going to use our
00:08bananas to make a Filipino dessert called turon and it takes five minutes max. So what you need
00:13is some brown sugar, some bananas that we've cut into halves and the most important ingredient
00:20these are little pastries that you can get from most Asian supermarkets not to be confused with
00:26filo pastry. This is the kind of wrap that you get on a spring roll. I'm going to use it
00:30as well
00:31for our turon. So you ready ladies? Yes. Okay so firstly get your wrap and position it in a diamond
00:36shape and then you're going to get a quarter or half a teaspoon of brown sugar. Then you get your
00:44half banana and put it in the middle and then you're going to fold up. Okay a little blanket
00:52and then you're going to fold across and then you're going to fold the other way so left into
00:59the middle and then you're going to roll it. This is exactly the same way that you made the spring
01:06rolls.
01:08And it should look like that. I've got my oil and it should be about, I don't know, half a
01:16finger deep.
01:17We're deep fat frying so be super, super, super careful. That's it ladies. Okay so you get your turon
01:25and you just, oh you can hear that. Drop it in and then just keep an eye on it.
01:34This is a little bit funny. I broke it already. Okay so we'll just keep on going. This looks like
01:40your one here, right? Hold on.
01:41Put the turon in again. You can put a couple in. Make sure your oil's not too hot. And then
01:49these take about a minute max to cook.
01:52They look good. They look good, don't they? They're yummy. They're so good. Nice. Okay so this is the bit,
01:57right, stand back a little bit.
01:59Yes. Alright so there we go. There's our turon. And then what we do is we just put it onto
02:06the tissue so that it can drain. That's it!
