00:00So he has the left-hand side of the house and I have the right-hand side of the house
00:04so that we don't infect each other just in case.
00:07Is this an excuse you've been looking for for a while, Jackie?
00:10Yeah, you've been having a double bed to myself.
00:19And where are you, Jackie, exactly?
00:21So Ghoul, which is in the east riding of Yorkshire.
00:26Lots of small villages, lots of rural isolation.
00:31We've been providing Meals on Wheels service for about 12 years now.
00:35So we do a hot meal that's freshly cooked that morning
00:38and then it's delivered in thermal boxes straight to the customers.
00:42So they actually get a nice meal, not a frozen meal or in a plastic container or anything like that.
00:50And Jackie, how has the NET helped you?
00:53Has it given you some money and what are you expecting from it?
00:56Because of the panic buying, there was a lot of items that families in particular were really struggling with.
01:03We got the application in and got the funds straight away.
01:07So we could buy powdered milk for babies.
01:09We could buy sanitary products for women, nappies, all sorts.
01:15So those things that were vital but were being taken off the shelves of the supermarkets.
01:22So that was great that we had that really, really quickly and could have those resources there to support people.
01:28There's nothing like something like a crisis to bring you all together and, you know, to work cohesively.
01:33And that's really worked well. It's been fantastic.
01:38That's good to hear, Jackie. I agree with you.
01:40I think Britain is at its best, weirdly, when we're in a crisis.
01:44We all feel together and that community spirit and that community feel comes rushing back quicker than anything else.
01:50Absolutely, yeah.
01:51This weekend we're sending out some bags of happiness.
01:56So we've had some of the East Riding staff making up some little bags and they've got scented candles in.
02:03They've got some nice chocolates in.
02:05Jackie, you're doing a fantastic job.
02:07Please pass on many good wishes and big thank yous to all the volunteers that you've got up there.
02:11Could I just ask you to do a high five for all of the volunteers in East Riding?
02:16Go high fiver.
02:18Of course, I'll do a virtual high five.
02:20That's it, luckily. Thank you very much.
02:23No worries at all.
02:24Lovely to speak to you, Jackie.
02:25Thank you. Bye.
02:26Bye-bye.
