00:08both my wife and myself are thinking of you so very much at such an incredibly difficult
00:15time and in such impossible and terrifying circumstances, but I did want to say that
00:22both of us have been in despair in the last several weeks watching this appalling horror
00:31unfolding in Australia and witnessing so much of what you're having to go through from this distance.
00:39Those of you who have tragically lost your properties, your houses, everything, to me it is
00:47and to both of us, not to be believed, possible and I know how many houses have been lost.
00:54But above all we wanted to say how much we've been thinking of all those remarkable, courageous,
01:05determined firefighters who've done so much and work ceaselessly to exhaustion and we feel
01:12so deeply for the families of those who've been lost, who've lost their lives in the course
01:17of carrying out their remarkable duties as only they can do.
01:22And we also think of all the Australian wildlife that is destroyed in these appalling infernos,
01:29let alone everything else.
01:31I know, we both know, just how incredibly special and resilient the Australian people are.
01:41So, I know at the end of the day, despite all this horror, you will find a way to face
01:49it
01:49all and win through.
01:51And all I can say is that we are thinking of you, we are praying for you in the most
01:58determined
01:59way.
