00:00So there was one event that I remember as a kid really impacted me and anybody that remembers it in
00:051966
00:05Which was the Aberfan disaster. Yeah, when all of those children, 116 children, 28 adults.
00:12Their school was engulfed by all this slutty from the mines and that was horrendous.
00:17Yeah, and I suppose that is the third episode of the series and it's an incredibly moving film.
00:24Each episode is a film in itself and we filmed not far from Aberfan and the care and attention that
00:31was taken by
00:32By everyone in production and I mean people probably know I know people know that I have lost a child
00:38me and my wife
00:38Clary lost it on board in 2011 so to go and have an episode about the loss of a child
00:45was very difficult
00:47and I think I suppose I above anyone else perhaps
00:50wanted to make it
00:52In the right way, but I think it what it does it does help us to remember what happened
00:57Oh, we should
00:57Other generations that followed are not probably not as aware of that terrible tragedy. So it focuses the whole because
01:05it's such a big show
01:06The whole world focuses and remembers that particular that terrible tragedy. So
01:11Yeah, I'm very proud to have been part of that however
01:14No, I know but it's really really important and let you see really important to get it right you and
01:19Olivia Coleman
01:19Olivia Coleman is obviously the Queen and sorry, who's the icon as she's some young up and coming actress
01:25I'm sure she'll do very well, but it's that thing that you've said about the fact that she really sets
01:29the tone on set and she's funny
01:32Yeah, and she makes it relaxed and that's really important. Well, it is and I think particularly over a long
01:37a long a long series
01:38And there's many many days early starts film she yeah
01:40She's relentlessly positive and happy and you need that and right up to action
01:44I'll be sort of trying to get anything about what I've got to talk about and what we do in
01:48the pipe and she's just chatting away bubbling away and then an action and she's just
01:52She's right in you did it. Absolutely. It's that kind of I think you get a lot of life in
01:58your eyes and in her performance because she's it's something
02:01always bubbling underneath something very engaging and intelligent and brilliant, but I suppose it's the Queen she's got to
02:08Learn how to temper that how to use it as a monitor
