00:00Hi I'm Tracey Chevron, this is Emily Nash our Royal Correspondent and we have
00:05just been inside Windsor Castle where as you must know Princess Eugenie and Jack
00:10Brooksbank got married this afternoon. So it was a really good afternoon wasn't it?
00:14It's been a really really lovely morning and afternoon as you say the day is flying
00:18by already and it feels like we've been up for about 20 years already so Tracey
00:23and I had a very early start we got to go inside the chapel and have a look at
00:27the beautiful floral displays by Rob Van Helden. It was a lovely autumnal palette
00:32of colours wasn't it? Lots of foliage taken from Windsor Great Park and I don't know
00:37about you but just stepping back inside there was so exciting having seen one
00:41Royal Wedding already this year we kind of knew we were in for another treat.
00:45Yeah it's such a grand building and you walk inside and the scale of it which is
00:52difficult to see from TV but when you're inside and you see the scale of it the
00:57heights of the ceiling the gold at the back. I think my favourite bit though was
01:02nosing all the the places on the chairs which gave us a hint of which
01:07celebrities were going to be there so we saw name places for Kate Moss, for her
01:14daughter in fact, her boyfriend, we saw Demi Moore, Liv Tyler, all sorts of names we
01:21weren't expecting people like Stephen Fry, James Norton, there were so many famous faces it was
01:28almost a bit like being in the front row of a catwalk show. Yeah Naomi Campbell and none of
01:33those guests had been mentioned before so this was all news to us when we walked in
01:39and said look who's going to be here. Of course we were sworn to secrecy until said
01:43celebrities actually turned up but I think everyone will have enjoyed seeing
01:48the arrivals as glamorous as they were all those fantastic outfits and then of
01:53course we had members of the royal family there were 30 of them there all
01:55together looking resplendent. We got the Duchess of Sussex
01:59obviously the first time she's been back there publicly since her own wedding day
02:02looking very elegant again in Givenchy and of course her sister-in-law the
02:07Duchess of Cambridge in her trademark Alexander McQueen so some things were
02:11fairly predictable but everyone just looked so happy to see Jack and Eugenie
02:16on their big day and they couldn't have looked more loved up. Yeah they seemed quite
02:20nervous don't you think? I think Jack, I'd like to think someone gave Jack a stiff
02:25drink when he stepped out to sign the register because he was clearly slightly
02:29overwhelmed by the occasion. Yeah it's a big occasion for him because he's not been
02:33part of this before has he? I mean he's but they've been together eight years but
02:38he hasn't really been involved exactly and you can see Eugenie was obviously very
02:43confident she's been through this many many times in fact she grew up at Windsor
02:47so this was nothing new to her even on her own wedding day you know she kind of
02:52knew the drill but for Jack and for his parents this must have been you know
02:55quite breathtaking yeah yeah suddenly find themselves there and live on
02:59television as the world watched. Yeah yeah so after the the wedding it was a
03:05lovely ceremony so we should we talk about that first before we skip through
03:09yeah and the children the children we always knew they were going to be good
03:13value didn't we so when the cars pulled up with Princess Charlotte, Prince George,
03:18their cousins waving out the window Charlotte was she always gets very excited
03:23doesn't she when she's in a crowd and she loves to play to the crowd. She's absolutely mastered
03:27the royal wave as well very confident and gets in there and goes for it I always feel
03:32Prince George is a little bit more measured he's kind of holding back a little bit to
03:36see see what's happening yeah but they were on spectacular form yeah and no
03:41terrible behavior a little bit of messing around once they just got inside the
03:46chapel doors. There was a little trip up the steps wasn't there? That was so unfortunate and we have to
03:50say it's been incredibly windy here in Windsor today so
03:53you know they did very well to hold on to their headpieces and all this kind of
03:59stuff so the children were very very sweet and I think special mention also to
04:03Princess Beatrice who gave a lovely reading from The Great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald
04:09delivered it very confidently very beautifully and we saw a lovely moment
04:14between her and her new brother-in-law Jack Brooksbank giving a little tiny fist pump
04:17yeah to say thanks to her as she walked back to her seat. And the Duchess of York
04:22and of course the Duke of York looked very very proud I mean she Fergie looked
04:26like she was gonna burst didn't she she was so pleased. They're such a tight
04:31family unit and you know they've been through some turbulent times as a family
04:34over the years but one thing that's always stood out to me is how united they
04:39are and the fact that they do everything as a foursome and I think I love the fact that
04:43Sarah and her daughters refer to themselves the tripod so you know they're
04:47really really tight and they were obviously just so happy for Eugenie on
04:51her big day. Yeah they genuinely seem like a very happy couple don't they you can you
04:56could see that connection between them and actually despite the the grandeur of
05:01the occasion part of it seems a little bit informal there was lots of smiling and
05:07lovely looks between them. Exactly and certainly once they had signed the register
05:10and they were on their way back out you saw them interacting for the first time
05:15with their guests saying hello to people. Eugenie probably thanked someone we're
05:19not quite sure who in the congregation and I mean obviously they were slightly
05:24relieved that the formalities were over and I think they knew that you know now
05:27the fun was really gonna begin and we know that's gonna go on late into the night
05:31and then we stood inside as Eugenie and Jack got into the carriage to do a
05:38little procession around the town and so that came past us didn't it and and they
05:43gave us a little wave and and off they went so that was it was nice for the
05:48people of Windsor wasn't it that they there's been a good crowd of people out
05:52there and obviously it's October it's a working day so the crowds aren't as deep
05:56as they were back in May for Harry and Meghan's big day nevertheless there's a
06:01lot of excitement and everyone loves to turn out for a big event like this
06:05pumpkin pageantry you just don't get anywhere else. Yeah exactly and now as we
06:09speak they're behind us somewhere aren't they having the reception so what's
06:14going on which rooms in the castle? We are they're having the reception in St
06:18George's Hall inside the castle also it's extended into the Waterloo Chamber and
06:23the Grand Reception Room and that's because they have 800 guests so 200 more
06:27than Harry and Meghan had at their wedding back in May so they need a little
06:30extra space to spread out and one can only imagine you know what's going on
06:34there behind the scenes I like to think Robbie Williams might be serenading them
06:37I'm hopeful that we'll find out more details later on. So will this be Kate Moss
06:41rubbing shoulders with the Queen, Naomi Campbell? Two queens together can you imagine?
06:47Queen of fashion. Very interesting crowd. Yeah definitely and it's very very starry I'd love to be a fly on
06:54the wall wouldn't you?
06:54Oh absolutely we weren't invited to that bit unfortunately although we would love to
06:58have snuck in and but we're gonna have to wait and see what we can find out
07:02about those details afterwards tomorrow so tonight there's a party then at Royal Lodge
07:07which is Prince Andrew and Duchess of York's residence. That's right. So what's
07:13happening there there's a marquee in the garden? We believe so and a dinner for
07:17all their guests and then of course tomorrow is a sort of more fun and
07:21informal event for close friends which is a fun fair and festival themed in the
07:26grounds again at Royal Lodge so I imagine that'll be lots of fun hopefully people
07:29won't overdo it tonight so they can enjoy themselves there tomorrow yeah some of us
07:33we're dressing off to Australia tomorrow with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex so I
07:37know they perhaps will be taking it easy this evening. Yeah so Harry and Megan are
07:41going to they're flying to Sydney. That's right yeah and and they're
07:45spending almost three weeks that's right down under. They're touring Australia, Fiji Tonga
07:49and New Zealand so a very busy time coming up. So Emily will be bringing you
07:54updates from that tour no doubt and as and when we get more details of today's
07:58wedding we will keep you posted. Thanks for watching thank you.
