00:00Jake, what went into training for this film?
00:03Because, I mean, you essentially had a master to sports.
00:05Thank you for saying master.
00:06Did you have to change your diet, exercise, TRT?
00:10Yeah, I took peptides.
00:12I took some testosterone, a lot of human growth.
00:15I lost about 60 pounds.
00:17My body fat was down to about three and a half to four percent.
00:20I was six foot one, about 160 pounds.
00:23My IQ skyrocketed.
00:25I did the movie.
00:26And then right before we started shooting, I morphed right back to regular.
00:30But it rehearsals.
00:31I was an animal physically.
00:34So it was really cool.
00:35The rehearsals, there's some behind the scenes where I'm just like a Greek god running around
00:39on a tennis court, whacking that ball.
00:42But then we realized we tested it.
00:43And it was like that guy who's in the original Back to the Future before Michael J.
00:48It just didn't work well.
00:50So I ate a bunch of ice cream, slept for about 10 days, and then shot the movie.
00:54Well, it looked great.
00:56So whatever method all of our other method actors need to learn from.
01:02Yes.
01:03And I love your character's friendship in the film.
01:06Aaron, what was it like finding that bond between you or PJ and Dustin?
01:11The bond was, yeah, we needed it to find it quick because we filmed some very emotionally charged
01:20scenes first week.
01:21So what we did was we hung out at a diner.
01:28What did you order?
01:30That's a fair question.
01:32He seemed to stop at a very strange time.
01:37You felt weird about continuing, but you were right.
01:43That is on My Guy AC.
01:45Yeah, I can't remember a lot of the rest of the details of the story, but we became like
01:51this, you know?
01:52I've been a fan of this guy for a long time.
01:54I was very excited to work with him.
01:56I courted him for this.
01:58He was the guy I imagined as PJ.
02:00And my big fear was, if he doesn't deliver the heat, it's on me.
02:05And early on, day one, scene one, he was crushing it.
02:09And I was always able to take a little bit of credit, even though I didn't do anything
02:13in terms of his performance.
02:14And so I had extra affection because I got to seem like I was really right.
02:19But he really brought the high heat.
02:21Well, it was a perfect duo.
02:23So whatever you did worked and from the PRP to the choosing him, I think that's my time.
02:30I'm not going to.
02:31One last question right off the top.
02:33You're not allowed to read it.
02:34You're not allowed to read it.
02:35Go fast.
02:35Go.
02:36Okay.
02:36One last question.
02:36One last question.
02:37Okay.
02:38Have you ever had to change your idea of what success looks like?
02:45Yes, I did.
02:47And I feel like every 10 years or so, it gets readjusted.
02:51There is what I thought success was at 18, and then 28, then 38.
02:57And then at this point, this whole frog's nearly 50 years old.
03:01So I'm not 50 yet, but I'm starting to sniff it.
03:04And I'll tell you, things change in terms of goals.
03:06He's a lot younger than me.
03:08What are you, 14?
03:10I'm actually 30 and a half.
03:13Yeah.
03:15Big time.
03:15You look great.
03:17I'm three decades.
03:20You're 30?
03:21Mm-hmm.
03:21I thought you were a 14-year-old boy.
03:24Are you serious?
03:25Are you serious?
03:27But so, yeah, it keeps changing every period of life.
