00:00Hi everybody at Hello Online, it's Michelle Heaton here from the VDX and it's
00:05very early on a Wednesday morning in Warrington and a little bit chilly and
00:09damp and I'm about to get in a canoe and row 20 odd miles all in the name for
00:16Stand Up To Cancers. This is the Great Canoe Challenge and there's loads of us
00:20here. Hopefully it won't hurt too much, wish me luck and I'll keep you updated
00:23for the rest of the day how we're getting on. See you later, bye!
00:31So hello to Hello Online again. This is Josephine, this is my partner in
00:36climb on the canoe this morning and myself and Josephine are both BRCA carriers
00:41I'm BRCA2 and Josephine. So we've been teamed together today to talk about
00:46I suppose our experience. It's been really good! The wind's picking up, so it's like
00:52paddling through syrup. Yes it is, as you can see we're going that way and the wind's
00:58coming this way so it's not very easy now and we've been paddling for about two
01:03hours but the first pit stop apples, nuts, coffee, second is lunch and I'm
01:10guessing the last pit stop will be chocolate.
01:20Hi everybody! So we've done about five miles and shoulders are a little bit sore and but
01:26all in all everyone's still smiling. Everything's really good and I think I've
01:30swallowed half of the canoe water that they've told me could kill me. Fine. Standard
01:36day out and yeah and Sam's wearing lipstick in case anybody didn't realise he had
01:43a day of pink lips. I told him it was lip balm. Shhh, don't tell him.
01:47Oh I do like to be beside the seaside, oh I do like to be beside the seaside.
01:57Thank you guys!
