00:08And now that lifetime of work has been honoured by the Princess Grace Foundation at their annual gala in Los
00:14Angeles.
00:15It feels great. I love it. I don't get much attention so I get to get out and have people
00:22applaud. I like that. I'm a ham.
00:24And after that lifetime of work, there must surely be a particular highlight.
00:30I probably had the most fun in Mary Poppins. Every day was just glorious. Such fun.
00:36And people from the UK love to rib me about my accent. I'll never live it down.
00:46What part of England are you from?
00:49And I say, well, it was a little shire up in the north of England. Most of the people were
00:54there from Ohio.
00:55That was the accent. I was working with an entire English cast. Nobody said a word.
01:04Not Julie, not anybody, didn't say, you know, you ought to work on that. So I thought I was all
01:09right.
01:09Well, you know, I'm old enough to remember the Dick Van Dyke show in black and white.
01:13And it was one of the first television shows, it might even be the first, that I actually watched and
01:18got.
01:18And I'm from Illinois. He's from Illinois. And I felt kind of a kinship. He feels very familiar to me.
01:24And I know exactly where he grew up. I know the town. And he's their big claim to fame out
01:30there.
01:30In fact, he's even on the signs home, Danville, home of Dick Van Dyke. So, you know, I just love
01:36him.
01:36I think he's he's amazing. And he not only is great at comedy, but he's got such joy and he's
01:42got such heart.
01:43And, you know, he's a really good man.
