Oscar Benton Blues Band ?– The Blues Is Gonna Wreck My Life 1969 (Netherlands, Blues Rock)
Since 1967, the name of Oscar Benton has been firmly entrenched in the blues scene of the Benelux. After completing his training in mandolin and violin, Oscar Benton formed his Oscar Benton Blues Band that same year. In 1968 the band released their debut album "Feel So Good". In 1974, Oscar Benton left the band and began collaborating with singer Monica Verschoor, with whom he released several commercially oriented singles, which as a result became his first hits.
But the real breakthrough for Oscar Benton's solo career was 1981, when French actor Alan Delon used Oscar's song "Bensonhurst Blues", in the movie "For the Policeman's Skin". Oscar Benton's characteristic vocals created a special atmosphere for the film ... And the result was a well-deserved take-off of the song to the first places in the hit parades of many countries.
In 1987, Oscar Benton decided to restore the team "Oscar Benton Blues Band".
