00:00Well, Nina and I have, you know, ever since the show ended, we have stayed in touch probably more than,
00:06well, that's not true, because me and Ian Somerhalder are like, you know, we're basically brothers at this point.
00:10Might as well just legally become brothers.
00:13But no, I mean, other than Ian, Nina and I have been very close, and we've stayed friendly, well, close
00:20friends, I should say, not even friendly, we're close friends.
00:22And we've just always kind of dabbled with the idea of we should do something together.
00:27It will be fun to do something together, and it was something that we had been aspiring to do.
00:33And we were looking at various pieces of IP books and original concepts and talking to various producers and studios.
00:40There was a few things that we were offered that just didn't make sense.
00:43This came about through our friend Aaron Kaplan, who's a producer, Alex Cooper, who is also a producer on the
00:51project.
00:51I just did her podcast, Call Her Daddy.
00:54And, like, it just sort of worked, it's this beautiful ensemble, it's kind of like, it's this perfect mix of,
01:03like, exploring relationships between neighbors and husbands and wives and friends, and then also a juicy murder mystery.
01:14And so we just thought this is, like, a mature version of giving something for the Vampire Diaries fans who
01:20have grown up and are now perhaps not in their, you know, teens and they're in their 20s and 30s,
01:25and they want something a little more edgy and a little more sophisticated.
