Vice President Sara Duterte on Thursday, August 6, defended her visits to several detained political personalities, saying she sees nothing wrong with visiting persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), whom she described as friends.

Citing her visits to former President Rodrigo Duterte, Rodante Marcoleta, Jinggoy Estrada, Mike Defensor, Arnie Teves, and Apollo Quiboloy, VP Sara stressed that PDLs deserve "sympathy."
