00:00Well, the number one priority for this government is to tackle the cost of living crisis that people are facing.
00:06And my job as Foreign Secretary, most immediately, is to work with our closest ally, the United States,
00:12on getting a ceasefire, and a lasting ceasefire, in relation to the Iran war.
00:19Now, we are working night and day to try and make that happen.
00:22That was a large part of our discussions today.
00:26I am hopeful that this may happen, but we are not there yet.
00:30And we've got to do everything we can to get this ceasefire in place.
00:34The work between Iran and Oman is obviously crucial to that.
00:37But then we've got to make sure it is an enduring ceasefire, that we don't have a nuclear Iran.
00:43And that is the work we are embarked on.
00:46But people should be in no doubt.
00:47I know as Foreign Secretary that the British people are worried about what's happening to petrol prices, diesel prices, energy
00:53bills.
00:54And the single biggest thing we can do is get that ceasefire in relation to Iran.
00:59And they are going to turn it to up to Iran.
