00:02i'm stunned and speechless you're amazing thank you so much thank you but i'm i'm really like i
00:10hope that you watch the trailer once you watch the trailer you would know like a little more
00:14about the film i'm sure i would love to i would love to yeah i mean it's a cheap film
00:21so it's
00:21going to be like awesome anyway thank you thank you it's it's coming on second yeah i'm glad you
00:27i'm so glad you liked it thank you so much it takes a lot to actually place you know a
00:32person i mean
00:33physically i understand with you know so many looks but in the side the conscience the psychological
00:38evolution of that person how do you go about when you do a film like this i prepared myself for
00:45that
00:45like we got the script much beforehand i got like about three months and hand to prepare about it
00:52and uh yeah and i was also i feel i was lucky uh and that i got to play nine
00:58different characters
00:58in one film see we actors or makers we live with one aspiration in life for me uh that like
01:06i can
01:06present interesting characters to people i can present interesting stories to people movies to people
01:12wow but you know that the whole um there's a fascinating question that the title itself you know
01:17ask what does a revolution when does a revolutionary actually become a criminal
01:24that's a good question yeah that is our marketing point now promotional point yeah we want to do that
01:30initially when you know when the title of the film was decided i was not too much keen on this
01:37title
01:39i'm saying that do you believe that the society is often often too quick to paint people as heroes or
01:46villains without understanding the circumstances uh is it you really think so i think yeah because
01:58it has to do with maybe attention span people's attention span is getting lesser by every passing day
02:02maybe because of that the focus the concentration but what today's today's generation is very very very
02:10smart i would say there's gen z and the decorations and all they're really amazing i i deal with them
02:18at home so i know so have you learned any gen z lingos have you understood what clocking it means
02:27what what does mean which one clocking it that's the only thing i've understood about gen z's
02:37it's clap clap or this one see these are this is basically korean hearts and pookie and this is
02:43clocking it yeah this is this is clap clap this is what is this i'm talking it i agree i
02:55agree is this
02:58how well versed are you with gen z lingos what i wanted to do i'm trying to cope up with
03:04my uh like
03:05kids at home like my daughter and my niece nephew everybody my son is very young he's about three
03:10years but yeah he's also picked up a lot of things but do you think that i mean a topic
03:18like anand
03:19who's thing and you know this particular film i would say it puts the spotlight on a lesser known
03:25chapter of bengal's history so do you think that this these kind of stories actually help younger
03:30audiences to understand state's contribution to um india's freedom struggle yeah that's our base no
03:37it is very important to know our history our base where we come from where are we today because of
03:42whom
03:43wherever we are today because of whom it's very important to know
03:49also period dramas they do like so well i mean it's i think everybody across all ages
03:55universally it's love why is that oh come again sorry i missed it yeah i'm saying
04:00period dramas or period films or epic films they all date you know films in the british era they do
04:06so
04:07well and then loved universally across all ages all age groups why is that see any material if it is
04:14nicely been told well made nicely been told it connects and not necessarily period but yeah
04:20period you you have a lot of factuals with you to play around with
04:28yeah so if you would have to pick like your uh favorite genre because now you've done like nine
04:34nine characters in just one film or nine transformations in one film would you say like this like this whole
04:40this particular genre is like your favorite or do you have your own specific genre and you would like
04:44to you know um i mean you have a particular favorite genre so nine looks and genres has nothing to
04:51do
04:51with each other the nine looks are again like a lot to do with uh uh small small portions in
04:57the film
04:57but genre is defines the overall film uh and uh uh i i enjoy any see as an artist i
05:06would prefer myself
05:07seeing from the lens like i'm like water you know whichever form you want to give me i would love
05:11to take that shape so for me it's like that and uh i as an artist i'm open for all
05:20sorts of genre all
05:20any genre of films and i meant the challenges you know like this film has really challenged you
05:26like i think i'm sure physically this this this film yes this film is definitely uh if i look back
05:32this is
05:33one of the most challenging film in my life most challenging character i got to play
05:39yeah yeah in this film yeah for sure also you are i mean you're undoubtedly the best and the biggest
05:47actors the superstar of bengali cinema if i may say uh over the over so many decades uh what does
05:54carrying the responsibility of being a bengali superstar mean to you today so you're very kind you're very
06:00towards me like you're uh showering all those words and all that no i'm i'm an artist i'm a human
06:05more than anything else i'm a human first okay and i think that work is a part of life
06:11and uh uh i happen to be in a profession where i connect with people my work reaches out people
06:17faster it penetrates deeper it makes a different kind of a connection i get amazed and surprised
06:22sometimes when i travel when i meet people i see glitters in their eyes i see that how unconditionally
06:28they love me i see that and i get really amazed with life that how it happened and why it
06:32happened
06:32so for me when i go back home for me uh i'm a father to someone i'm a husband to
06:40someone brother to
06:41someone so like that for me uh stardom is just a you know what do you call it like a
06:48additional part
06:50in your life it's not your life but i'll take one more question then so i wanted to know that
06:55everybody
06:56is like branching out today and if we wanted to see you in a hindi film would that be soon
07:03i already did khaki and i'm looking forward to more work in hindi because
07:13what's talking post khaki what's nothing has stopped me nothing i'm just building the relation
07:20with people and hopefully soon i can announce something there are quite a few things cooking up
07:25but not the time to speak about it now okay thank you sir everything materializes i definitely would
07:32love to speak and share with you thank you sir thank you sir thank you take care
