00:17Well, the defense for sure looks sustainable because he just looked so smooth out there. He looked like he'd been
00:22there for five years. That's what you want to see in the shortstop. You want to see in the shortstop,
00:26they're making the job look easier than it's supposed to be.
00:29It's not always about making the spectacular play. It's making the routine play every time. I think that was part
00:34of the problem that Anthony Volpe had as his career progressed. And so he projects an image where he can
00:43keep that level of defense up day after day, night after night. And that's going to be the important thing.
00:49That's what you want from your shortstop.
00:51Obviously, the home run's a wonderful capstone to the night. I don't know that you're necessarily going to look at
00:56him as a 35 to 40 home run guy. And I don't think you want to necessarily. You want a
01:00guy who's a steady offensive player.
01:02I think what's important is not to get caught into the trap of trying to swing from the fences every
01:06time, especially when you got those inviting porches at Yankee Stadium.
