00:00When God is not the truth, how can Bhagavad Gita, his verses, be the truth?
00:04Are you coming to Bhagavad Gita for what the Bhagavad Gita is?
00:08Or are you coming to the Gita because of your belief that it was sent down by some God?
00:12When God is not the truth, then how can I accept it?
00:15So you are believing that God narrated the Gita, therefore Gita has value.
00:20Actually, that is the truth.
00:21Then why am I speaking to you on the Gita?
00:24You want to know Krishna? Understand the Gita.
00:28Worship the Bhagavad Gita as Krishna himself.
00:31Truth is God and the Gita deserves respect.
00:39Whatever you are doing with the spirituality that you are parting, are there other people also doing?
00:44So are you the only one?
00:45I am so humble. How do I say yes?
00:51Can somebody do it for me, please?
00:59Namachari Ji, for us Krishna is the God.
01:03We read Bhagavad Gita because it was said by God.
01:06When God is not the truth, how can Bhagavad Gita, his verses, be the truth?
01:11Because the Bhagavad Gita does not demand that you believe in God.
01:15The Bhagavad Gita is right there in front of you.
01:18It is not demanding any belief of any kind.
01:21Are you coming to Bhagavad Gita for what the Bhagavad Gita is?
01:26Or are you coming to the Gita because of your belief that it was sent down?
01:30Are we disrespecting the Gita? I am asking.
01:33No, actually we believe Krishna is God and whatever he said, it should be truth.
01:39So you are believing that God narrated the Gita, therefore Gita has value.
01:44Actually, that is the truth.
01:46Then why am I speaking to you on the Gita?
01:49I am elaborating the Gita so that you can respect the Gita on its merit.
01:58Not on its pedigree or ancestry.
02:02What if tomorrow, in some way, it is revealed, just hypothetically, if it is revealed,
02:12that this one came from Ved Vyas, because the entire Mahabharat is coming from Vyas.
02:18So Gita too is a part of Mahabharat, so it came from Ved Vyas.
02:22So you will say, no, no, no, I don't want to touch the Gita anymore.
02:26Doesn't the Gita deserve respect on its own?
02:30If you ask me, who is Sri Krishna?
02:32I will say the author of Gita.
02:34The Gita comes first.
02:36The Gita comes first.
02:39Who is Krishna?
02:41Somebody says, is there any proof that Krishna existed?
02:44The Gita exists, right?
02:46So there will be some author.
02:49So that author is Krishna.
02:51No other proof needed.
02:55God?
02:57If by God you mean the highest, then truth is God.
03:02Truth is God.
03:06There is a great difference in these two positions.
03:08You say, God is truth.
03:11Now that's a statement of belief.
03:15And I say, truth is God.
03:20It's not the same thing as A equal to B versus B equal to A.
03:23No, no, not the same thing.
03:28You start from your life, right?
03:30And you look at falseness.
03:33And truth is that which reduces your falseness and therefore your suffering.
03:38Therefore the truth is very intimate.
03:41And that's why we respect truth.
03:44Because we are living creatures who love life.
03:47Therefore the truth is highest.
03:49Because we all want to have a high life.
03:54Truth is God.
03:56And the Gita deserves merit for itself.
03:59Why?
03:59Because the Gita dissolves our falseness and brings us closer to truth.
04:06Therefore the Gita deserves respect.
04:09And who is Krishna then?
04:12The author of the Gita.
04:14The preceptor.
04:16The great teacher.
04:19And therefore Sri Krishna deserves respect.
04:22The model you are operating from is a model that doesn't really respect the Gita.
04:29What you are saying is,
04:31I don't know what the Gita says.
04:34But I have been told by way of tradition
04:39that there exists some God called Krishna.
04:42And Krishna gave the Gita.
04:44So I'll just respect the Gita.
04:45That's what the Lok Dharamis do.
04:50Without understanding the Gita,
04:52they keep making a show of respect.
04:57They'll keep saying,
04:58Gita Ji, Gita Ji, Gita Ji.
04:59You ask them, you know,
05:00please tell me a little bit.
05:02No, no, no, no.
05:02Gita Ji.
05:03We'll keep the book on the head.
05:05Gita Ji.
05:07Sir, the book is meant to be dived deep into.
05:11The book is meant to be fallen in love with.
05:15The book is meant to be understood to the core.
05:20Instead, you have turned it into an object of ritualistic symbolic affection.
05:30How does that help?
05:33It hurts me to hear this.
05:37That we respect the Gita because the name of Krishna is attached to it.
05:51Krishna doesn't come first.
05:53The Gita comes first.
05:57Only the Gita can teach you what Krishnatto means.
06:01So tell me who comes first.
06:03Tell me who comes first.
06:05If you'll ask me who is Krishna,
06:07I will say the Bhagavad Gita itself is Shri Krishna.
06:11If Shri Krishna is Nirguna and Nirakar,
06:17formless and attributeless,
06:20the Bhagavad Gita is the Saguna-Sakar Roop of Shri Krishna.
06:27The words are there,
06:30accessible to the senses.
06:33Therefore, the Gita is Saguna-Krishna.
06:40The Gita comes first.
06:43And the Gita will teach you the truth of Krishna.
06:48Gita comes first.
06:49Then,
06:50the Gita takes you to Krishna.
06:53But you are inverting the whole thing.
06:55You are saying,
06:56my belief in Krishna comes first.
06:59But all beliefs come from the ego.
07:02All beliefs exist to protect the ego.
07:06All beliefs are imaginations
07:08meant to reinforce the ego.
07:14And if Shri Krishna is just your belief,
07:16then what are you reducing Krishna to?
07:21An object of your own ego.
07:23That's disrespect.
07:31Worship the Bhagavad Gita
07:33as Krishna Himself.
07:38And how to worship?
07:41By understanding it.
07:43Because that's what
07:45the text demands.
07:51If you bow down to the book
07:53ten times a day.
07:57What's the point?
08:00There is the text.
08:01There are the verses.
08:02They are written in a particular language.
08:04They are intelligible.
08:06Comprehend.
08:07Interpret.
08:08Meditate.
08:10Pay attention.
08:12Use all your faculties.
08:16That's what is
08:18worship of the Gita.
08:19And worshipping the Gita
08:21is the best way
08:23of worshipping Krishna.
08:25So,
08:26understanding the Gita
08:28is the best way
08:29of worshipping Krishna.
08:32The Bhagavad Gita
08:33and Shri Krishna
08:34are inseparable.
08:37Do you get this?
08:41Don't take the
08:44inverted route
08:45where you say
08:46I love Shri Krishna
08:48because of the stories
08:49about Krishna.
08:51I love Krishna
08:53because of the
08:53stories about Krishna.
08:55And then the stories
08:57also say
08:57Shri Krishna wrote the Gita
08:59therefore I am going to Gita.
09:00No, no, no.
09:01The Gita stands
09:02tall on its own.
09:05The Gita
09:06deserves respect
09:07on its own merit.
09:10The Gita
09:11needs no stories
09:13to support
09:14its caliber.
09:17Take away
09:17all the stories
09:18the Gita
09:18still remains
09:19equally valuable.
09:24You don't need
09:25stories
09:25to appreciate
09:26the importance
09:27of Gita.
09:32Go to the Gita
09:33and
09:34the Gita
09:35will tell you
09:36what Krishna
09:37means
09:37and therefore
09:38who
09:39Shri Krishna is.
09:40In fact,
09:41there are
09:41just so many
09:43verses
09:43where Krishna
09:44introduces himself.
09:46You want to know
09:47Krishna?
09:48Understand the Gita.
09:54Namaskar
09:54Machareji.
09:56So I've been
09:57doing a wonderful
09:57job of
09:58switching
09:58spirituality
09:59to everyone.
10:00So I find it
10:01very
10:02good.
10:04So while
10:05speaking with
10:05other followers
10:06I was
10:09getting a feeling
10:10like
10:12whatever you are
10:13doing
10:13with the
10:13spirituality
10:14that you are
10:14parting
10:17are there
10:18other people
10:19also doing
10:19in the whole
10:21world
10:21or before
10:22you
10:22afterwards
10:23anyone else
10:25will also be
10:25doing those
10:26things.
10:27So getting
10:28the resources
10:28from other
10:28people
10:30and giving
10:31it to
10:31the right
10:31people.
10:32So are
10:33you the
10:33only one
10:33who is
10:35giving the
10:35right
10:36this thing
10:37or other
10:38other people
10:38who are
10:39giving the
10:40right
10:42I am so
10:49humble.
10:50How do I
10:50say yes?
10:55Can somebody
10:56do it for me
10:57please?
11:06I am a
11:07shy person
11:09I love
11:09to keep
11:10to myself.
11:14Being
11:14here
11:15is a
11:16duty
11:17a
11:17responsibility
11:17I never
11:18like to
11:19be
11:19with
11:22crowds
11:22and
11:23never.
11:25I would
11:25have never
11:26taken this
11:27role upon
11:27myself
11:28had I
11:29found
11:29somebody
11:31deserving
11:32enough to
11:32be served
11:34and I
11:36looked out
11:37a lot
11:38and I
11:38kept looking
11:39out for
11:40almost a
11:41decade
11:43and it
11:44was with
11:45great
11:45disappointment
11:46that I
11:46had to
11:47take this
11:47responsibility
11:48upon myself
11:52else I
11:53would have
11:53served
11:55some better
11:55and more
11:56deserving
11:56master.
12:01Just that I
12:02could not
12:02afford to
12:05deceive
12:05myself and
12:06say you
12:07know this
12:07one is the
12:08available option
12:08and since
12:09this one is
12:10the one
12:10available
12:11so I'll
12:12go for
12:12him.
12:13I set my
12:14standards
12:15high.
12:15I said
12:16it's not
12:17about who
12:18is available
12:19it's about
12:20who is
12:20deserving.
12:23Maybe I
12:24set the
12:24standards too
12:25high I
12:26couldn't find
12:26anybody
12:26deserving.
12:28Not somebody
12:29who is alive
12:29none at
12:30all.
12:30None at
12:31all.
12:35Believe me
12:35I wouldn't
12:36have held
12:37this mic
12:37otherwise.
12:38Not my
12:39job.
12:40I love
12:41to be
12:43with
12:44myself
12:44all by
12:46myself.
12:49I would
12:50rather write
12:50something.
12:55I remain
12:56uneasy within
12:57because I
12:58cannot write.
12:59I love
13:00the arts.
13:01I would
13:01have
13:02loved to
13:03perform
13:07theater,
13:08drama.
13:09There were
13:09so many
13:09other
13:10things.
13:11I could
13:11have
13:11traveled.
13:13I've
13:14had to
13:14sacrifice
13:15all of
13:16that.
13:17I love
13:18to play.
13:26I gave
13:27up all
13:27of that
13:28because
13:30it was
13:31needed
13:31that I
13:32occupy
13:33this
13:33stage.
13:35This
13:35stage is
13:43not a
13:44place I
13:45deeply
13:46enjoy
13:47being at.
13:48Though
13:49once I
13:49am here
13:51I am
13:52in.
13:53It's
13:53meditation
13:54for me.
13:56But given
13:57a choice
13:57I would
13:58be
13:58somewhere
13:58else.
14:01Unfortunately
14:02the choice
14:02didn't
14:03exist.
14:06Getting
14:07you.
14:09Then the
14:10question,
14:11there are
14:11others doing
14:12this,
14:13am I the
14:14only one?
14:15Only you
14:16can judge,
14:17sir.
14:18Only you
14:19can judge.
14:20It's not
14:21about watching
14:21a performance
14:22and deciding
14:23a winner.
14:25It's about
14:26taking care
14:28of your
14:28own
14:29suffering
14:30and only
14:31you can
14:32tell
14:35whether
14:36and where
14:37your
14:38suffering
14:38has truly
14:39been
14:39addressed.
14:40How do
14:41I do
14:42that for
14:42you?
14:47It's
14:47like asking
14:49the
14:50medicine,
14:51are you
14:51the only
14:52medicine?
14:54Only you
14:55can tell.
14:57only you
14:58can tell
14:58who has
14:59succeeded
14:59in healing
15:00you.
15:02You
15:03are the
15:03only
15:04judge.
15:06There
15:08exist
15:09medicines
15:10and toxins
15:11and placebos
15:14and only
15:15you can
15:16tell which
15:16one is
15:17which.
15:17Because
15:18you are
15:18the
15:18experiencer.
15:19It's
15:19all about
15:20addressing
15:21your life,
15:22your
15:22constraints,
15:23your
15:23bondages,
15:24your
15:24darkness.
15:26only you
15:26can tell
15:30whether
15:31and where
15:31your
15:32darkness
15:32has been
15:33illuminated.
15:36Who am I
15:36to claim
15:37something?
15:40And if I
15:41indeed do
15:42claim,
15:43let's say,
15:46hypothetically,
15:47if I claim
15:48I am the
15:48one and
15:49the only
15:49one,
15:50it will be
15:51with a
15:51heavy heart
15:52because I
15:53don't want
15:54to be the
15:54one or
15:55the only
15:55one.
16:01I don't
16:02even want
16:02to be one
16:03among many.
16:06Left to me,
16:07I would
16:07simply disappear.
16:09I don't
16:11particularly
16:12relish being
16:13called
16:13Acharya Ji
16:14because that's
16:15not who
16:15I am.
16:19It's
16:20a burden.
16:23Bluntly
16:24put,
16:29my dreams
16:29are about
16:30flying away
16:32and never
16:32be seen
16:33again.
16:34And flying
16:35away without
16:36leaving a
16:36footprint,
16:37an imprint,
16:38without
16:39leaving a
16:39trace.
16:44disappearing
16:44totally,
16:46never to
16:47be found,
16:48not even
16:49by myself.
16:54Why should
16:55one covet
16:58being
16:59the one
17:00if being
17:02the one
17:03implies
17:04answering
17:05stupid
17:05questions all
17:06day?
17:09Please
17:10tell me.
17:12Please
17:13tell me.
17:15Who
17:15would
17:16want
17:16to
17:17swap
17:18roles
17:18with
17:18me?
17:22My
17:22position
17:23is very
17:24unenviable.
17:26After
17:27pouring out
17:28my heart
17:28for an
17:29hour and
17:29a half,
17:31somebody
17:31gets up
17:32and says,
17:32you know,
17:33you have
17:34not
17:34explained
17:34right.
17:46didi said,
17:47she listens
17:48to the
17:48Gita only
17:48because of
17:49the name
17:49of the
17:50publisher.
17:55This is
17:55after three
17:56years
17:56of the
17:57Gita
17:58program.
17:59You really
18:00think I
18:00want to
18:01be me?
18:03No way.
18:05One
18:06day I
18:06will simply
18:07beg
18:08forgiveness
18:08and
18:10disappear
18:10as I
18:11cannot
18:11take it
18:12anymore.
18:24How I
18:25wish those
18:26in
18:26charge,
18:29formally
18:29officially
18:30in
18:30charge
18:31of
18:32religion
18:32did
18:33their
18:33duty.
18:37How I
18:38wish.
18:40But
18:41from
18:42where
18:42I
18:43looked
18:44at
18:44the
18:45teachers
18:46and
18:46their
18:46institutions,
18:49they
18:50were
18:50not
18:50just
18:51failing
18:51but
18:51actually
18:52defrauding.
18:57therefore I
18:57had to
18:58enter
18:58to play
18:58a
18:58cameo.
18:59I
19:00don't
19:00want
19:00to
19:00play
19:01the
19:01lead.
19:03You
19:03understand
19:03a
19:04cameo?
