00:00Harry Wilson heads into the new Premier League season looking to make an immediate impact after joining Leeds United on
00:08a free transfer from Fulham.
00:10The Wales international arrived at Ellen Road with plenty of top-flight experience and creativity.
00:17He's expected to add goals and quality from wide areas after signing a four-year deal.
00:23And Wilson has enjoyed a positive start to life under Daniel Farker in pre-season, featuring throughout their games so
00:32far as Leeds United fine-tune preparations for their return to the Premier League in a second season since their
00:40promotion.
00:41The 29-year-old has made his debut during the summer programme.
00:46He'll be looking to seek a new understanding with teammates during pre-season.
00:50They beat Liverpool 4-2. Wilson reacted after the game.
00:54Here is what the former Fulham player, who started life off at Liverpool and is now playing at Leeds United,
01:00had to say after beating his former club Liverpool in a pre-season match.
01:07I can only speak from the second half and obviously it was a great half for us.
01:12But I think pre-season can be tough to tell.
01:14See people, different levels of fitness, lads coming back from the World Cup, youngsters getting their chance.
01:20So I think it'll be quite tough to judge.
01:22Speaking from a Leeds point of view, it was a great second half for us.
01:25I think we were disappointed to be 2-0 down before we started the game well, put them under pressure
01:28and that which they dealt with well.
01:30And then they scored two goals, one from a set-piece and a great team goal because we know that's
01:37what they can do.
01:38But we felt if we kept putting pressure on with them making changes and maybe a few young lads coming
01:42on, that we can push to get back into the game.
01:44And ultimately the second half ended up being a really good half for us.
01:47Is it still a special game for you, Liverpool, whenever you come up against us?
01:50Yeah, of course. It's a team that's close to my heart.
01:53I spent 15 years of my life there in the academy.
01:55And then the first team, I've still got loads of friends there and some of the lads as well, which
02:00I want them to do well.
02:02But yeah, whatever team I'm playing for against them, I always want to win.
02:05I think that's not natural.
02:07Yeah, I feel really happy where I am.
02:09I think last season was by far my best year.
02:11Playing regular football, thought my numbers were good in the Premier League.
02:15Playing at a good club.
02:16So, yeah, I think going into this summer, being a three, it was about making the right decision, which I
02:22felt was right for my career at this time.
02:23And being at a club that's looking forward and looking up.
02:27And I think with the calls I had with Leeds, I felt they were really the club for me.
02:30And yeah, hopefully we'll have a really good season.
02:33Yeah, I think that's been a theme throughout the tour.
02:35In the first game down in Tampa, leaving the hotel and seeing all the fans in the lobby, wishing as
02:41well for the game.
02:42I think it started there.
02:43And yeah, then in New Jersey the other night and then again in Chicago.
02:46But yeah, listen, I grew up in North Wales.
02:48I know what the Leeds fans are like.
02:50I know what the atmosphere at Ellen Road's like.
02:52And yeah, I'm really looking forward to playing in front of them.
