00:01This is Peter from the Canberra Times.
00:03Fuel prices are on the rise once again.
00:06On Friday the price of petrol touched $2 and the diesel crossing $2.50.
00:13It is quite a concern for a lot of motorists
00:16and we are going around the city to find out what is the price rise for fuel.
00:25Most of the drivers, mainly truckers, had a shock when they looked at the bowser
00:31and the fuel price kept increasing.
00:35And this is a big difference from what it was four days ago
00:38because the price of diesel is $2.59
00:42which is quite expensive from what it was a week ago.
00:47Three or four weeks, so it was, you know, like about 80 bucks, 90 bucks before.
00:53So, yeah, it's a fair slump.
00:57Today I feel from Sydney there was $2.59.
01:01It's a very high price from the last month or last week.
01:05I don't know why they increased the fuel price.
01:08It's very hard for the specialty truck owners
01:12because the company didn't increase the price of load rate.
01:23See behind me there's a long line of cars waiting to fill petrol
01:26at the cheapest fuel station in Canberra today
01:31where the fuel price, the petrol price actually stands at $1.99.
01:36Drivers have come long distance to this fuel station to fill fuel.
