Im Automotive Research and Development Centre in Windsor, Ontario, simuliert Stellantis jahrelange Straßennutzung innerhalb weniger Wochen. Hydraulische Prüfsysteme reproduzieren die Belastungen echter Straßen und testen Fahrwerk, Karosserie, Lenkung sowie weitere wichtige Komponenten unter identischen Bedingungen. 00:00In Road Test Simulation, we have 6 of the 9 Road Test Simulators in North America.
00:05This allows us to test all the suspensions, bodies of all the vehicles we make in North America.
00:15During Road Test Simulation, we shorten our test to 4 weeks,
00:20which is equivalent to 10 years of customer usage or 240,000 km.
00:25240,000 km is almost like driving to the moon.
00:31In Road Test Simulation, we have a 4-post environmental chamber
00:37capable of testing from minus 40 to plus 55 degrees Celsius,
00:41full humidity control as well as sun load.
00:44This allows us to test in all the conditions that our customers are going to see.

03:27The road test simulator can run that in six weeks and, well, not beat up a driver in the process

03:37The roads that we're recreating here are the roads from our proving ground
03:41which are some of the roughest roads you're going to find anywhere
03:44And those roads have to be rough to incorporate the duty cycles that our customers are going to put their

03:57This truck will endure this testing 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the next month and a
