00:00You know, it's interesting. This is obviously my first time seeing the interview with the audience.
00:03And before the president even said what he said, I thought the exact same thing, where he said this only
00:08happens to people who are consequential.
00:11That's funny. That was my first thought, because it's so true.
00:13You look at every American president who has had either, unfortunately, a successful assassination attempt or unsuccessful ones.
00:20Lincoln, JFK, Ronald Reagan, Donald J. Trump.
00:24In the weirdest way, it's a very good company to be in.
00:27But, you know, I really am impressed with the way that the president carries on every day, the resoluteness that
00:33he brings to the job.
00:34And it affirms for me how important his presidency is and why I want our Republican establishment to get on
00:40board and realize who we have at the helm and keep it going.
00:43We have a special guy. We got to do good things for him.
00:45You know, what's interesting about it, Katie, is that, you know, when you when you talk to the president about
00:49this, he you know, he initially will say something with it.
00:52And then he kind of moves off the topic very quickly.
00:54But you you look at the you look at the Secret Service roaming around the Trump National Golf Club and
01:00they are I mean, they are on high alert and constantly moving.
01:03Yeah, they caught this guy two days ahead of President Trump arriving here.
01:09And that's better than they had at West Palm Beach with the first attempt, attempted assassination trace.
01:15So they're on high alert. They're doing exactly what they need to do.
01:18President Trump moved on so quickly at the White House after the White House correspondence dinner.
01:23He was at the podium. He was in the Oval Office.
01:26He was making jokes.
01:27He moved on because he knows that the country is more important than than what he feels is a threat
01:32to him.
