00:00We're here in Newcastle because we have over 500 supporters of our work to
00:04support community independence and so we want to see them and engage with them.
00:08Also we know that there are a lot of people here in Newcastle who really care
00:12about climate, environment, anti-corruption, all of the issues that we
00:16care about and we want to just give people the message that if you want to
00:20have impact on those issues, politics is the way to do it and community-led
00:24independence is the way to make real change as we've seen from the community
00:28independents that have made it in Parliament like David Pocock and all
00:31of the others. So we're really looking forward to seeing people tomorrow night.
00:34And what's the purpose of the meeting?
00:36The purpose is to tell people how we work, what we do, the kind of communities that
00:41we've supported before and the success they've had with the candidates that
00:45they've elected to represent them.
