00:18not a single one, remain with the police department. The request came about a year
00:23and a half after the Nirvana frontman was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a
00:27Seattle home. In the letter, Love's attorney said the family fully accepted the police conclusion
00:32that Cobain died by suicide and explained the files were being requested because others were
00:37allegedly trying to profit from material related to the case. Now, Seattle police refused the request.
00:43This newly released letter, though, surfaced through a group that has long argued that
00:46Cobain's death should be reinvestigated as a possible homicide, though police have repeatedly
00:51stood by their finding that the rock icon took his own life.
