00:05Alright, history is unfolding in June 2025.
00:10On June 13th, the state of Israel attacked targets at more than a dozen locations in cities across Iran.
00:20Later on the 13th, Iran retaliated, firing over 150 ballistic missiles back at Israel.
00:29And as of this recording on the 15th, there have been numerous exchanges that looks for all intents and purposes
00:36like a war.
00:37This current event, I believe, can be seen as a subtext in many popular movies.
00:43Actually, the scope of this, it's beyond my own capability and understanding.
00:48I did some videos in the summer of 2024 about the Mad Max movies.
00:55I think there may be some indicators in these to the current Iran-Israel conflict.
01:01How do you know that the near present is targeted?
01:07And that would be the release of Furiosa Mad Max Saga in May 24.
01:14This starred Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, and Isla Brown.
01:19And then I think another major indicator is the release of Alien Romulus in August 24.
01:27Connections between the staff and cast of Alien and Mad Max.
01:33Mel Gibson reportedly turned down the part of Maximus in Ridley Scott's Roman warrior epic Gladiator in 2000.
01:44And this part was eventually played by Russell Crowe.
01:46A major example would be actress Charlize Theron, who was Furiosa in Mad Max Fury Road in 2015.
01:56She was also Meredith Vickers in Ridley Scott's Alien prequel Prometheus in 2012.
02:03Alright, so in Mad Max 2 The Road Warrior in 1981, this was co-written and directed by George Miller
02:10with Mel Gibson, Bruce Spence, and Mike Preston.
02:14I had previously noted that actor Steve J. Spears, who plays the mechanic in this,
02:21I resemble actor Gerard Butler.
02:23And Butler is, of course, known for playing Spartan King Leonidas in Zack Snyder's 300 in 2006.
02:32This is based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller, a sensationalized retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae in the
02:43Greek-Persian Wars.
02:44The timeline of this is in the 400s BC.
02:48The Persians, of course, are associated with the country of Iran in the present day.
02:53And an indicator to the start date of the latest hostilities may be shown quite prominently in The Road Warrior.
03:03It has to do with the appearance of Lord Humongous, the leader of the gang.
03:09This muscular character wears a hockey mask, somewhat similar to Jason Voorhees,
03:15the slasher in the Friday the 13th horror film series.
03:19There are some very important lessons shown in Mad Max The Road Warrior.
03:25This may be applicable to the current situation.
03:29This involves a series of booby traps and bait and switch tactics.

04:09that may resemble the personalities in the movie or television episode that you're watching.
