Polar bears chill out as heatwave hits Prague

Polar bears at Prague Zoo got a break from the heat on Thursday (July 30) with tons of ice and cold water. A heatwave has sent temperatures into the high 30s Celsius in the Czech capital, creating a challenge for zookeepers caring for the polar bear brothers Gregor and Aleut. The Zoo says the ice helps the bears to keep cool, but also offers some enrichment and stimulation. Thursday's temperature, 33 degrees Celsius is 11.5 degrees higher than the average for the Czech Republic according to Reuters Heat Monitor.
