00:02:30words here dependency dependence craving habit weakness compulsion fixation enslavement let's see it has it says more

00:02:56substance thing or activity okay so we all have our addictions right you know some people are addicted to
00:03:08cigarettes drugs drugs women gambling um smoking maybe reading your bible i'm addicted to the bible i love
00:03:21reading the bible um many of us have many addictions you know i guess sometimes these addictions can be bad
00:03:30like the things that i just named like smoking and doing drugs and stuff like that but
00:03:37it was always said that if you do something too much it's a sin so we have to be careful
00:03:43with that
00:03:44right that we don't do something too much that you know it becomes a sin right i don't think if
00:03:51we do
00:03:52the bible too much it becomes a sin just don't bother people that really don't believe you know or try
00:04:01to
00:04:02force them to force them to believe something that they don't believe because they have to figure it
00:04:06out on their own just like i figure it out on my own and you must figure it out on
00:04:12your own with the
00:04:13help and the guidance of this bible god's words okay so let's start with the first scripture the first
00:04:22scripture is first corinthians 6 and 12 let's go read that remember the subject is addiction

00:04:45are not expendient all things are lawful for me but i will not be brought under the power of any
00:04:57so that is talking about being brought to the power of any being brought down to the power of man
00:05:05because i that's what i feel like it believes a lot of us love to follow men or man and

00:05:16and she says you you need to think things out for yourself okay it's okay i think if someone is
00:05:26teaching
00:05:26you the bible like i'm teaching you the bible but you also need to go do your homework you always

00:05:34you need to make sure that whatever you are being taught as far as the bible the scriptures anything
00:05:42religious is the truth you need to go do your research okay just like i did okay let's look up

00:07:18it's hard to get out of it you understand let's read romans chapter verse chapter six verse five and six
00:07:26okay here we go for if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death we shall be
00:07:36also in the
00:07:37likeness of his resurrection okay knowing this that our old man is crucified with him that the body of sin
00:07:47might be destroyed that henceforth we should not serve in sin so remember you will have an addiction
00:07:56a bad addiction you don't want to be serving in sin you don't want to be like you're reading this
00:08:04bible
00:08:05you know however you serve you keep all the laws you don't keep all the laws you know you keep
00:08:11the two greatest laws which we're supposed to keep because it's very hard to keep 623 laws or 614 laws
00:08:21whatever it is it's hard to keep that so i believe again when christ came remember when christ came
00:08:28he gave a new commandment he gave a commandment to love remember to to love and he also gave the
00:08:38two greatest commandments the most high gave the two greatest commandments to keep because those are
00:08:45easier to keep and then remember all the laws hang with the prophets okay so we must not serve god
00:08:56in
00:08:57sin okay let's move on let's we're going back to first corinthians 10 and 13 so let's go read what
00:09:07that
00:09:07say first corinthians 10 and 13 and it says there have no temptation taking you but such as in common
00:09:23to man but god is faithful who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able but
00:09:33will
00:09:34with the temptation also make a way to escape that ye may be able to bear it so that scripture
00:09:42is just
00:09:43saying god the most high is not gonna put too much trouble on you he knows what you can bear
00:09:51and he knows
00:09:52what you can't bear so whatever trouble he puts on you he knows you can handle it okay he knows
00:10:01that you can
00:10:02handle that trouble okay if it's too much for you and he put it on you then he's gonna give
00:10:12you a way to
00:10:13escape it to escape it okay remember that he that god is remember he's a just god he's a good
00:10:20god
00:10:21he and he doesn't want us to die he wants us to live remember and go watch my other videos

00:12:07it keeps us held on so let's say you have that addiction remember let's just say with drugs let's
00:12:16say you start with something that you think is easy or smoking is bad but you think that you know
00:12:23um
00:12:25smoking is good and you smoke a little cigarettes you know every now and then you're not a big
00:12:31smoker you know you're social smoker well that's how it starts for you that's exactly how it starts
00:12:38after you start socially smoking then you find yourself smoking just a little bit more whereas
00:12:46when you were smoking one cigarette or two cigarettes a week now you're smoking one cigarette a day
00:12:53you understand and then it goes on from a cigarette doesn't do it for you anymore so then you say
00:12:59you know
00:12:59i'm gonna so i'm gonna do a little reefer then you start smoking that let's say once a week and
00:13:05you're smoking cigarettes then you say oh you boost the reefer oh it's not enough i want to smoke more
00:13:11reefer so now you're smoking reefer every day and you're smoking cigarettes every day okay and then you
00:13:17say oh it's not doing anything for me let me try some cocaine and then now you're smoking reefer cocaine
00:13:25and cigarettes do you see how that can go it's like a door with mansions and each door that you
00:13:32open up
00:13:33there's some other thing in there for you to get addicted to so this is why you have to stay
00:13:42away
00:13:42from those things if you're smoking uh some drugs because i know that they have um medical marijuana
00:13:52and you smoke that that's one thing that's being prescribed to you from a doctor i'm not talking
00:13:59about that i'm talking about people that just smoke stuff just to get high to get that feel and you're
00:14:07chasing that high that first high that you got you're chasing that high trying to get that high which
00:14:14you will never get again that's what you don't understand so that's why to me it's frightening just
00:14:20don't do it if you're smoking and you're smoking cigarettes and you're smoking hoof hookah and
00:14:27and you're smoking uh reefer i know you can't smoke hookah but you it's vape you vaping you're doing all
00:14:34these things try to get help to stop because it's an addiction and that's what i'm talking about today
00:14:41my subject is addiction you have to get away from that if you don't it's going to tear you apart
00:14:50try not to become addicted to things yeah we all have some type of addictions but some of us
00:14:58addictions are worse than others like far worse than others okay so we want to try to
00:15:06not get addicted to things or stuff you know so let's move on let's go to matthew 26 and 41.
00:15:14one let's do it matthew 26 and 41 okay because addiction you get addicted on something it's hard to get
00:15:30off
00:15:30okay uh matthew 26 and 41 and it says watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation don't be
00:15:43into into the temptation of addiction whether it's uh smoking cigarettes some type of drug alcohol
00:15:54gambling you know eating too much you know just getting full for no reason um maybe you're addicted
00:16:03to you know a person and and you know because you can be addicted to a person just remember don't
00:16:12get
00:16:12addicted to nothing it's okay to love a person like you know you loving them you loving them so much
00:16:19but you
00:16:21put them over god you know or you put them over christ you know because remember the scriptures say
00:16:27he that put mother or father you know or anyone above him is not worthy of him so you have
00:16:34to be
00:16:34careful with that okay it says watch and pray that he enter not into temptation the spirit indeed is
00:16:45willing your spirit is willing to be tempted okay because remember we're carnal we're in the flesh we
00:16:53easily get tempted but you have to fight those temptations okay but the flesh is weak and that's exactly what
00:17:03i just said the flesh is weak we are in the flesh we are weak but you have to try
00:17:09to fight it i know
00:17:11it's hard i know trust me i've been there you've been there we've all been there but you gotta strive
00:17:19better you gotta strive harder you have to do it because then if you don't do it then you're gonna
00:17:27get
00:17:27addicted to whatever it is and no telling what's gonna happen to you do you understand so you have
00:17:34to stop just stop if let's say you was on drugs you went to a rehab center and you got
00:17:41off then
00:17:42remember they always say this don't go around those same friends that you was getting the highway
00:17:47don't even go into the same area where you know you was hanging out with certain people try to cut
00:17:53off
00:17:53try to move try to get your life together try to go to a better neighborhood you know okay
00:18:01try to maybe if if you don't have a place to go you know they have programs get help go
00:18:07to public
00:18:08assistant tell them you know your issues they will help you because i know people that got help like that
00:18:15and they have somewhere to live they have somewhere to stay they're working they have a job and they're
00:18:21staying away from like that neighborhood and those people that they used to get high with in that life
00:18:27you have to cut all of that off in order to get well and to stay well you understand let's
00:18:33say you ran
00:18:34into one of your smoking buddies and they was like oh man you know tonight we're gonna go we're gonna
00:18:39shoot
00:18:39up or whatever you just said nah man that's not the life that i live anymore i don't live that
00:18:45life
00:18:45anymore if anything you should try to encourage them to stop but if you try to encourage them to stop
00:18:52and they don't want to listen then it's okay just let them be because they had to they got to
00:18:58figure
00:18:58it out like you figure it out like you went you went you got the help you went to a
00:19:03program and
00:19:04you got all the help you needed so they have to figure it out you can mention it to them
00:19:09hey man listen
00:19:10you know you shouldn't be living like that look at me i got myself clean i'm living good and if
00:19:16the
00:19:16person say yeah you know i really do want to get help can you help me then all praises to
00:19:23the most
00:19:23high yes then help them but if they say nah man nah i'm going to get high tonight then just
00:19:30let them be
00:19:31you know just wish them peace i wish you well but you know take care of yourself and you know
00:19:37you keep
00:19:37it moving that's it that's all you do because you can't go back and get tempted again remember
00:19:45i'm going to read it again matthew 26 and 41 it says watch and pray you must watch yourself and
00:19:54you must
00:19:54pray that ye enter not into temptation don't go into temptation the spirit indeed is willing your
00:20:06your flesh is willing it's like let's go but you gotta fight it you have to fight it if you
00:20:15want to
00:20:15stay well and be well and live a good life or a better life then you have to fight you
00:20:21have to say nah
00:20:22you know you think about it you know i'm not going back to that because the flesh is weak your
00:20:31flesh is
00:20:32weak as people we are weak okay let's move on to titus 2 11 and 12 so we're gonna go
00:20:42to titus
00:20:44chapter 2
00:20:47verse 2 and 12 okay because i know it's hard uh boy let me tell you i know so many
00:20:58people that
00:20:59got messed up you know with drugs smoking just all kinds of things and you know the way their life
00:21:07ended was sad and some of those people are in my family some of those people were my friends but
00:21:13they
00:21:13died you know you couldn't help them they didn't want to listen so remember what the scriptures say
00:21:19god will direct our paths but you know there's a good path and there's an evil path you have to
00:21:27choose
00:21:27your path and then after you choose your path god is gonna direct you okay so let's go to titus
00:21:36chapter 2 verse 11 and 12 and it says for the grace of god that bringeth salvation hath appeared to
00:21:45all
00:21:46men he has appeared to all men but it's whether what role do you want to take do you want
00:21:55to take the
00:21:56good role or do you want to take the evil role okay if that's on you you know teaching us
00:22:03that
00:22:04denying ungodliness and worldly lust we should live soberly which means free of any type of drugs or
00:22:13cigarettes or any smoking you know unless it's medical stuff that's the i'm not talking about
00:22:20nobody that's sick and they're getting they're using certain things or they're smoking things
00:22:26for their medical health that's not i'm talking about i'm talking about you know somebody that's
00:22:32let's say they may work and have a nine to five and then with friday come they get stoned that
00:22:38those
00:22:38are the people i'm talking about we must live righteously okay and we must live godly
00:22:45and in this present world god said in this present world this is how we have to live so if
00:22:53you getting
00:22:54high and smoking cigarettes and because you guys don't understand when especially when you get high
00:23:01and you get drunk you know other things start to happen to you remember you're not in your right
00:23:09state of mind so you start hallucinating and then you you know your body takes part of that and then
00:23:20because you are drunk you start to see things that's because now you sort of enter the spiritual world and
00:23:28when you do enter the spiritual world sort of because the way your mind is you're out of it that's
00:23:34when you
00:23:35allow other entities or spirits to enter in you and you behave a certain way and you walk a certain
00:23:43way and you start talking like this you know and stuff like that god said you're not supposed to do
00:23:51that you're not supposed to be ever get drunk why would you want to put yourself in that position i
00:23:59don't
00:23:59care if you're with friends you're with family why would you put yourself in that position
00:24:06to get drunk then you don't know what's going on around you and if something happens or somebody
00:24:14attacks you you can't defend yourself because your body doesn't function right now you know everything is
00:24:23disabled and your your your your speech is slurred and you aren't able to protect yourself now somebody
00:24:30could do harm to you why would you do that don't do that don't don't do that okay that's not
00:24:39good for you
00:24:40that's not good for anybody never ever put yourself in that situation you understand i mean we all like to
00:24:50know that we think we have people that love and care about us and that will take care of us
00:24:55and there
00:24:56are some people that we know we can trust that if we got that way they will look after us
00:25:02and they will
00:25:02help us but sometimes there's not you know you might be hanging out with that friend that's cool
00:25:09you know with you and then you turn around and you get drunk and this person really envies you
00:25:17you're in trouble because you put yourself in that predicament you know how many people end up dead
00:25:23that way because they got drunk or they got too high they overdosed they hurt themselves that's why
00:25:32god said this for the grace of god that bring him salvation hath appeared to all men he brought salvation
00:25:42to
00:25:42all men everybody okay teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lust worldly lust things
00:25:52that certain things that we do in the world that's bad for us like getting high that's not good you're
00:26:00not supposed to be doing that okay well getting drunk and talking and then cursing at people and getting
00:26:07crazy you know how you behave when you get drunk you know you shouldn't be acting that way clean yourself
00:26:14up don't act that way it's unhealthy okay
00:26:22we should live soberly soberly means we in our right state of mind we're in our right frame of mind
00:26:29nothing's clogging our memory nothing's clogging our judgment we know exactly what we're doing
00:26:37and what we're saying you understand you know how many people that got too high or got drunk
00:26:43and they killed somebody and then when they wake up out of it they don't realize what happened
00:26:50then when someone tells them what they did they're like oh no oh my god oh my god oh my
00:26:57god and it's true
00:26:59that's true because it happened to someone that i know it happened to a family member okay i didn't
00:27:06know this family member very well i think i made a medal once when we were like little kids but
00:27:14something bad happened and these things happen when you allow yourself to get drunk don't just don't do it
00:27:23so god said we should live soberly we should live righteously meaning just be a good person
00:27:30be good to people you know if somebody is not nice just ignore them because
00:27:38you don't know what's going on with them or what happened in their day or whatever we can ignore
00:27:43people i'm not saying ignore to the same you always keep an eye out because there's too many crazy
00:27:48people out here you keep an eye out but you can ignore don't aggravate the situation if that person
00:27:55is crazy and they're going off that don't mean you got to go off too you could just ignore them
00:28:02like
00:28:02yesterday i was coming home and this woman started saying something to me i think she looked clean
00:28:08but i'm not sure if she was homeless or not she could have been i'm not sure but she was
00:28:14saying some
00:28:15stuff to me and i had my headphones on and i took one ear out just to hear what she
00:28:21was saying and
00:28:23i'm not sure she was talking some crazy stuff about some man getting drunk and peeing over here and you
00:28:30know i just ignored her i just looked at her nod my head but i kept walking that's a classic
00:28:35example
00:28:36just keep going just keep her walking let it go you know like they teach the kids in the school
00:28:43let it go lucy let it go because it's not important that person's not hurt you're not hurt so leave
00:28:50it
00:28:50be just walk away okay and we should be godly and god says we need to do this in this
00:29:00present world
00:29:01right here and right now we need to be doing that okay let's move on to james four and seven
00:29:13let's do it james four and seven
00:29:21because it is so easy to get addicted to stuff well i tell you james there's so many temptations
00:29:29out here for us some people make it because they want to get help and some people don't make it
00:29:36because they don't want to get help james four and seven let's read it
00:29:45james four and seven says submit yourselves therefore
00:29:51to god resist the devil and he will flee from you and that's exactly what you have to do you
00:30:01have to
00:30:02listen to god's word and that way resist the devil because when you resist him then no harm can come
00:30:09to
00:30:10you the most high will protect you he will have that angel that takes care of you the one that
00:30:17wakes
00:30:17you up every morning that angel will take care of you that angel will protect you listen i feel like
00:30:25i'm protected like i said i was down there at 9 11 almost died god had that angel right there
00:30:33to protect
00:30:34me also i was down there that the crazy god tried to blow up the people in 42nd street thank
00:30:41god my angel
00:30:43was right there to protect me and also because i believe i strongly believe in god a higher creator
00:30:51a higher being and i believe that christ died for our sins i believe that i will always believe that
00:30:59okay or else i wouldn't be sitting here trying to teach the bible to you okay let's read it again
00:31:09matthew i mean sorry james chapter 4 verse 7 submit yourselves therefore to god give your life to god
00:31:19give yourself to god open up your bible start reading it if you want to go to church go to

00:32:09going to understand and the spirit is going to make you understand trust me it's going to happen because it
00:32:15happened to me you know so you want to do that give yourself to god resist the devil stay away

00:32:25devil stay away from the evil temptations of addiction stay away from cigarettes reefer smoking stay away from
00:32:34somebody that you know let's say you might love this person so much but you know this person is bad
00:32:41for
00:32:41you you know this person gets you to do bad things you know this person gets you to do ungodly
00:32:47things
00:32:47guess what stay away from that person because that might be the death of you you know you want to
00:32:55live
00:32:55you don't want to die you understand you want to make it into their kingdom so these are the things
00:33:01we have
00:33:01to do and remember when you resist the devil he's gonna flee from you he's gonna say oh man
00:33:08damn i can't get her i can't get him you know he's gonna flee he's not gonna want to be
00:33:15nowhere near you
00:33:16okay let's read first john 2 and 16 let's do it let's go to first john chapter 2 verse 16
00:33:32let's read it for all that is in the world the lust of flesh our flesh lust after
00:33:45certain temptations women we want to screw all the women we can screw men we want to screw all the
00:33:53men we can screw i'm saying some of us are like that we have a sickness we have an addiction
00:33:59some of us are just addicted to sex we don't care who we get it from and where we get
00:34:04it from just
00:34:04as long as we get it you know no morals some people are addicted to cigarettes you know some people
00:34:13are
00:34:14addicted to drugs some people are addicted to alcohol you know the more typical things that we are
00:34:22addicted to some people are addicted to money because for some people money is they got it's like
00:34:31you know it's okay i'm not saying it's not okay to have money it's okay to have money but with
00:34:37everything you have to be careful because then it becomes a sin some people could just have millions of
00:34:43dollars and they still want more like it's not enough like some people in the world have so much money
00:34:49that you know they kids they grandkids they grandkids grandkids grandkids grandkids grandkids
00:34:58they grandkids grandkids grandkids grandkids grandkids could not spend that money
00:35:04okay over hundreds of lifetime but still they're chasing more money that's an addiction you don't
00:35:12want to do that if you got a not a lot of money and god gave you the ability to
00:35:18have that money or
00:35:19praises to you but don't run after that because then if that becomes your god you just always you're
00:35:26chasing money you know like how some people chase women or they chase men you know shoot i want this
00:35:33new
00:35:34Louis Vuitton bag but shoot this guy hmm he gonna get me this bag you know things like that don't
00:35:40do that
00:35:41let's be happy with what god gave you and be happy what you had you know and to people that
00:35:48are like
00:35:48rich and millionaires share the wealth nobody's saying you know you work hard for your money yes and
00:35:56you do what you want to do with your money yes but it's nice to share it's nice to be
00:36:02kind help somebody
00:36:03out you know go start something besides always like oh you giving money to charities and you're not sure
00:36:12if charities is giving the money to this people how about you go start something on your own if you're
00:36:18rich i'm talking to rich people now i'm talking to people that got money beyond money why don't you go
00:36:25search out a family that's poor in a poor neighborhood and watch them and you know um
00:36:35see them and see how they live and see what's going on and see how honest they is and it's
00:36:41easy to do it
00:36:42because all you got to do is start talking to somebody and you can find out lots of information you
00:36:48could say you know what this really is a family worth helping let me help this family on your own
00:36:54you know don't give it to charity so charity can take it and give it here and here because sometimes
00:37:00charity steals that money and it's true maybe some don't but some do you know people steal and that's a
00:37:07fact just go search out someone on your own there's so many poor people in the world so many people
00:37:14that need
00:37:15help that you can give a helping hand to if you have millions and trillions and billions of dollars
00:37:21what would it do for you to for you to find a family that needed help and to maybe help
00:37:30them get
00:37:31started you know you put them on their feet you know let's say you set them up with a hundred
00:37:37thousand
00:37:37a thousand dollars and you help them and then you see them on their way you know and then after
00:37:45you do
00:37:45that let's say you do that for every year or however you want to do it you do it once
00:37:51every three months
00:37:52you know if that money comes out of your pocket you're not gonna miss that money if you got billions
00:37:58of dollars trillions of dollars millions of dollars it's not gonna even hurt your pocket your money giving
00:38:06away a hundred thousand dollars to me it's like me um your hundred thousand dollars is nothing
00:38:17that's all i'm saying and i'm talking to rich people people that got money beyond money like i said
00:38:25help others there's so many poor people out here that need help help them i wish i had the money
00:38:31but
00:38:33i don't have no money like that i'm just an everyday working person getting by you know that's it and
00:38:40you know i make my money i do what i need to do i take care of myself and that's
00:38:46it and you know
00:38:47i don't ask nobody for nothing but that's what i'm saying folks just do that you know um
00:38:55um so let's read it first john 2 16 because i don't even know if i read it yet it

00:39:07it for all that is in the world the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and
00:39:14the pride of life
00:39:18is not of the father but is of the world you see that guys so for all that is in

00:39:28the flesh which is the temptation okay the lust of your eyes something look good to you whether it's
00:39:36money it's a woman it's a man you know it's a new car whatever it is it looks good to
00:39:42you
00:39:42okay and the pride of life the pride of life because some of us do have more than others a
00:39:51lot more and we get a big swollen head and we get full of pride and we start looking down
00:39:57on other
00:39:58people and you know we don't want to help people you know you don't want to share you feel like
00:40:04shoot
00:40:04this is my money i earned it i it's i don't have to give it to nobody that's not of
00:40:09god
00:40:10okay it's not of the father but is of the world it is of the world now god is not
00:40:17saying you can't
00:40:18have these things because you can have these things but you just have to be careful how you utilize
00:40:24these things and how you do these things you can use all those things he's just named to do good
00:40:29things you know we can build up shelters we could build up more hospitals we could build up better schools
00:40:37you know um just so many we can build up clinics to help people we could build up homes for
00:40:45uh homeless
00:40:46people like a place for homeless people to go to really like get their lives together so that they
00:40:55can take care of themselves like a a program where you can go and they can get the help they
00:41:01need and get
00:41:02their mind right because more than half of those people are crazy i see them all the time every day
00:41:09they are crazy stone out of their mind so that's one thing you know they might be beyond help i
00:41:15don't
00:41:16know but people like that that really need help because you can give somebody a dollar and that doesn't
00:41:24help them all you're doing is being an abler for that person to go get some more wine or cigarettes
00:41:31or
00:41:31whatever addiction they have you know that is not helping them they need real serious help you understand
00:41:40so we can help in those ways but i read it one more time for all that is in the
00:41:45world the lust of the
00:41:47flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the father but is of
00:41:53the world so you
00:41:55don't want to be of this world you don't want to be you want to do what you need to
00:42:01do to get by
00:42:03you can enjoy life but you want to do it in a good way you want to do it in
00:42:08a godly way okay
00:42:10let's read james 1 and 3 all right let's go back to james let's read james 1 and 3 and

00:42:22knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patient because god wants to see
00:42:33if you can pull through he's gonna try your patience remember you're gonna be
00:42:39we're all gonna be put through trials and tribulations and try through the fire that's those three t's
00:42:53that's what i'm gonna call that i'm gonna call that the three t's the three t's trials

00:43:09and tried because you are going to be tried all of us are and god wants to see can you

00:44:54store and they're gonna get high after it like those are the kind of people you don't want to be

00:45:00stay out stay away from them because you may go down with them and then next thing you could be
00:45:07dead
00:45:07or in prison and that's a place that you don't want to be okay so we want to stay away

00:45:16let's read john 8 and 34 let's see what john 8 and 34 says
00:45:27uh because you know addiction is something else you're not you know only thing you can do is pray for
00:45:35people like that you know you pray that they get the help they need let's go to john 8 and

00:45:434 and it says jesus answered them verily verily verily verily verily i say unto you whosoever
00:45:54committed sin is the servant of sin that's deep whoever committed sin is the servant of sin
00:46:03okay especially you are the slave of sin you love sin okay because you're not fighting your temptations
00:46:13you're not fighting your flesh you're not fighting that addiction you know and it's hard for you and i
00:46:20know it's hard you know it's very it's so hard for you and i understand but we have to learn
00:46:28that we have
00:46:29to fight how do you fight the addiction get help go to the certain avenues that you need to do
00:46:38like if you know you're addicted to cigarettes and you really want to stop you say you know what i
00:46:46gotta stop now you start into a fight that smoking addiction you're gonna say you know what i'm gonna
00:46:53get help i'm gonna go to some specialists i'm gonna go to some professionals i'm gonna go talk to somebody
00:46:59to help me to get off smoking cigarettes to get off that addiction that's how you get help you can
00:47:10first start off by telling your family members you know they have websites they have places if you got a
00:47:17phone you can google stuff in your area in your neighborhood and you can get help you understand
00:47:25it's yes it's just that easy if you want to don't get the help you get the help those are
00:47:35the steps
00:47:37just like the same thing if it's drugs or if it's sex or you know people are have so many
00:47:45addiction a sort of addictions like a person that's a hoarder they're addicted to putting everything in
00:47:52their house and just keeping it there they need help that's an addiction they're not happy unless
00:47:59they got junk all over their house you know and then they you know their family members don't want
00:48:06to come see them because their house is really really really really dirty come on we all watch
00:48:11those shows hoarders you know i felt for those people i just said what is going on in their mind
00:48:17that
00:48:17they will let their place get like that but something happened and they're sick i'm not
00:48:22judging them because i can't judge anybody we all have faults but what i'm saying is they need help
00:48:30and sometimes you know you'll watch those shows and they'll go a son will go try to help his mother
00:48:37and she'll push them away so once she pushes you away then there's nothing you can do they have to
00:48:43realize on their own that they need to get the help now once they decide to say you know what
00:48:48i'm
00:48:48tired of living like this i can't live like this no more then they go get the help they need
00:48:53then
00:48:54that's when you be there for them you still always be there for them but you can pray for them
00:48:59that's
00:49:00one thing that we can do that they can't stop us from doing you know you can always pray for
00:49:06somebody
00:49:06you pray for them you pray for you know the most high in christ to help them to help see
00:49:13them through
00:49:13whatever their addiction is because addiction is a strong desire to do something you know it's very strong
00:49:25okay let's go to john 8 31 and 32 john 8 31 and 32 okay and it says then said
00:49:41jesus to those jews which
00:49:44believed on him if ye continue in my word then are ye my disciples indeed so christ said if you
00:49:54continue
00:49:55in my word you're my disciple basically you're following me you're one of my followers and ye shall
00:50:02know the truth and the truth shall make you free and i'm telling you you that's watching it will make
00:50:10you free because it made me free and there's certain things that i did in my life that i'm not
00:50:18proud of
00:50:19we all did but guess what you gotta fight against it you gotta get out of that content that um
00:50:26addiction you have to get out of that temptation and guess what you have to open up your bible
00:50:31whether you go into church or you're not going to church if you go into church like i said watch
00:50:38those crafty paths you have crafty you know leaders watch them okay just make sure that you're reading the
00:50:47bible and when you read this bible you ask the most high you ask god you ask the lord to
00:50:55help you
00:50:57to understand these scriptures and what you're reading okay you get out your dictionary you got a
00:51:03phone all you got to do is google what words look up and you read it and you do it
00:51:09i really strongly
00:51:10encourage you to do that i did it and you could do it too okay let's move on okay now
00:51:19it says read john
00:51:208 and 36 it's keeping me in john 8 if the sun therefore shall make you free you shall be
00:51:28free indeed
00:51:29and when you do that you're going to be so free i'm going to read it again if the sun
00:51:36therefore
00:51:37shall make you free christ will make you free you shall be free indeed then you will be free and
00:51:45when you are free and you look back you're going to say what in the world was i doing why

00:51:53this why did i do that because that's how i feel in certain things you know what you know but

00:52:02the past and even in the past you got a new life a new way of living you know you're
00:52:07becoming a godly
00:52:08person you're living good and you know you're doing your best that you can and you're praying and you
00:52:16know just let god be the head of your left let god lead you remember it says come to god

00:52:25from the devil and he will flee you okay let's go on and this is the last scripture i'm getting

00:53:27could happen to you and that is death and you don't want death so you want to fight that temptation

00:53:37you have to do what you need to do to get to that goal okay matthew chapter 5 verse 13

00:53:51ye are the salt of the earth but if the salt has lost its savior wherewith shall it be salted
00:54:01meaning if
00:54:03we are the salt of the earth and we lost our way but if we lose our way how could
00:54:12we be salted right
00:54:15it is thenceforth good for nothing but to be cast out and to be trodden under foot of men
00:54:29okay so you don't want someone to take you because of your addictions the things that you're going
00:54:43through and they'll walk all over you because that is something man will do let's say you got a lot
00:54:51of
00:54:51money and you have an addiction and you know people in your family they may love you but they
00:54:59use you at the same time you know they only come around when they want something you know those kind
00:55:06of people you have to really you have to pray for them because you know they need help but at
00:55:13the same
00:55:14time don't be there enabling whatever it is that they're asking them you for don't give it to them
00:55:20just don't let them find another avenue to get it because they feel like you know if they take you
00:55:26for granted they feel like well you know as long as i got selena here you know selena gonna look
00:55:31out
00:55:31for me you know don't just stop try to tell them they need to get help but you know no
00:55:38i'm not gonna
00:55:39give you that dollar today i'm not gonna give it to you you know you need to go get some
00:55:44help now if
00:55:46you go get some help and start to help yourself then yes again then i will help you you know

00:55:53you're only gonna come around to see me when you know you want a dollar and you tell me you

00:56:52to them that went over so again you don't want to be
00:57:02bowing down to nobody but christ in the most high and you most certainly don't want somebody to be
00:57:09bowing down to you because if that is the case then you may be a person that's full of pride
00:57:16you know
00:57:17you're just so proud and you're full of pride and you like to brag about what you got so you
00:57:24know you
00:57:24of this world you in this world you understand we don't want to do that we want to be good
00:57:32we want to
00:57:33be followers of christ and as a matter of fact just one more scripture i'm gonna name because christ
00:57:41gave a new commandment and i want you guys to really hear this commandment
00:57:49a new a new christ gave a new commandment on what we should do and it's in matthew because
00:57:59um my brother read it to me the other day and i was so shy i was like what now

00:58:06but however however i've read in a different state of mind today when i read the bible i'm reading it
00:58:15with a different mindset and with the spirit helping me okay okay a new commandment

01:00:39and the second is like until it thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself on these two commandments

01:02:12said that we have to remember that a new commandment i give unto you christ said
01:02:20that ye love one another not just i'm gonna love my my brother because he's black and the other person
01:02:29that's white i'm not gonna love them that's not what the scripture is saying okay he said a new commandment
01:02:35that i give unto you that ye love one another as i loved you that ye also love one another
01:02:45by this show all men know that ye are my disciples if ye have loved one to another so that's
01:02:55another way to
01:02:56know that you are a disciple of christ because you have love in you and you willing to share it
01:03:04and give
01:03:05it to whoever you can you understand just being nice love could just be not
01:03:13somebody that you know that you personally love but love could just be being kind to somebody that's love
01:03:20you know you being kind to somebody say somebody comes sit next to you and you know
01:03:26let's say maybe they're a little smelly or something and you know
01:03:33you you know you sit there and you you know you deal with it but you don't come out and
01:03:39say oh man
01:03:39you know oh you nasty you stink get away from me that's not being kind although that person might
01:03:46have an older problem you know if you don't like it that the person has an older problem you could

01:03:52kindly get up and move you don't have to glorate the person or start screaming at the person like
01:03:58that's unnecessary you know and some people that's their belief they don't put on deodorant you know
01:04:04that's in their religion and they believe you know they shouldn't put it on so they smell that way but
01:04:11it doesn't give you the right to bother them or to you know yell at them they have that right
01:04:18you
01:04:19want to put deodorant on they don't want to put deodorant on you understand that's being evil
01:04:25that is the way we don't want to be if anything like me personally if i go on a train
01:04:32or the bus
01:04:32or wherever am i at and i'm sitting next to somebody that smells you know i just kind of get
01:04:37up and move
01:04:37my seat that's it that's all you have to do no harm no foul no no harm done you understand
01:04:44but you don't
01:04:45start yelling at somebody because you know screaming at somebody because they that way you know that's
01:04:51crazy that's just you know a small example you know we have to show love one towards another you know
01:05:00like sometimes how i show love towards one another i remember i had just saw the black panther movie right
01:05:09and i saw these two sisters standing there and they had one of these bad outfits like i like the

01:05:16both of them look and let me tell you the sister she had almost like a bald head she had
01:05:23like a caesar
01:05:24um when i tell you she was slamming she looked great and i could not help myself because she looked
01:05:33like
01:05:34the star one that was in the um in the black panther movie where she says how do they wear
01:05:42these
01:05:42ridiculous things and she threw the wig off her head sister was killing it i went to her i couldn't
01:05:49help it guys i went to her you know riconda forever i i just like riconda forever and the other
01:05:58girl was like oh snap no she did and she was like thank you sister i said y'all look
01:06:03great like
01:06:04i just i couldn't help myself but i gave them a compliment so when i see people that look nice
01:06:10or whatever with things you know i give them a compliment men and women it doesn't matter if you
01:06:16see somebody and they look nice you know and you want to compliment them you compliment them just
01:06:21just being kind like i said it it doesn't cause nothing to be kind you know let's be loving and
01:06:28kind toward what's another one you know let's say nice things to each other you know not evil things
01:06:33like some people be hating yeah look at her then the other person could look good you know they could
01:06:40be rocking it killing it but the other girls like look at her who she thinks she is the spirit
01:06:47of jealousy
01:06:48listen get that spirit off you that's a bad spirit to have you know but anyway
01:06:57addiction just gonna say real fast addiction is a bad thing addiction is a hard thing once you get
01:07:04addicted to something other avenues start to open up so what you want to do is you want to kill
01:07:11that
01:07:11addiction you want to close those doors you want to get help you there's programs you can go to
01:07:18you know there's shelters you can go to if you're homeless there's always places that be you they have
01:07:25soup kitchens all over the place you know you can come we go get you something to eat you know
01:07:31there's help out there for you to get you know and you can start even off with a family member
01:07:39ask a family member listen my life is messed up i messed up please help me i need help i
01:07:46want i want
01:07:47to get off this addiction that i'm on and that family member will help you you know and start praying
01:07:54to god go get your bible go to barnes and nobles and go get your bible or whichever bookstore you
01:08:01referral online amazon ebay get your bible and start reading and you will see your life will change god
01:08:09will guide you god will help you because i'm telling you he's helping me he's helping me he helped me
