00:02Yes, yes, yes, we are in Italy,
00:04but we're in a very special place.
00:06We're on top of virtually a mountain.
00:09It's called Marliana.
00:11It's about 20 miles from Monte Cattini
00:14and about 40 or 50 miles from Florence,
00:18equal from Pisa.
00:20But, it's more important than that,
00:22this was the birthplace of my paternal grandfather,
00:26for whom I am named and for whom I have my most important human possession.
00:32His name was Rodolfo Giuliani.
00:35Of course, I'm Rudolf, named for him.
00:38And he left here sometime before the turn of the last century.
00:42I'd say 1888, 1890.
00:48And then he came back in 1905 and brought his two sisters to America,
00:52where he established a tailor business.
00:57Now, I've heard about it forever and ever and ever.
01:01My grandfather, who died when I was very young,
01:04but I was very close to him,
01:06used to tell me about how he liked to go out and pick fruit at lunchtime
01:11and take the fruit and put it in that beautiful bread they make here
01:14and eat a fruit sandwich.
01:17So, this is like, I can't describe the emotion.
01:21I've met some of my cousins here, and we had a conversation.
01:25We're going to come back and have a big gathering.

01:32It gives us more and more strength to defend Western civilization.
