00:17narrow streets are often lined on both sides with cars of an afternoon and residents say
00:22that an increase of traffic will only make it more unsafe for the children and families living
00:27nearby. They fear it'll also be too difficult for larger vehicles including emergency services
00:33vehicles to make their way to the sports fields in the case of emergencies. Two months of back and
00:39forth communication between the neighbours and Shell Harbour Council seem to have gone nowhere
00:44despite the group presenting an alternative option for a car park entrance on Harbour Boulevard. They
00:50say council told them that an increase in traffic would actually lower the risk as people would
00:55drive safer. As of July 30 a middle ground is yet to be reached.
