4000 more people have been evacuated from tourist sites on the Atlantic coast - as both France and Spain still battle a wildfire emergency of exceptional scale, forcing several Britons to cut their holidays short.

00:00Our sky was completely lit, red, roaring red sky, and it definitely was not a sunset.
00:06As we approached the house, we realised the fire was about one kilometre away from the house.
00:10We basically put whatever we could in the car, and we drove down to the beach where we knew it
00:15was going to be safe,
00:16and the air was clear, and we had to spend the night in the car there.
00:19A plume of smoke came over the top of the villa and completely browned out our villa,
00:23blocked out the sun, went completely dark.
00:25Everything is smoky in the evening. Once that wind has changed direction and blown the smoke over the city,
00:31all the ash would descend.
